You can buy a great upgraded one off of EBay for that. Check EBay and compare. It should have RPM all around at the least. Good luck I love mine very much.

I tried talking myself out of it and I couldn't. Lol it's a super fun truck to drive. As for what to look for. Just make sure everything is working the way it's suppose to and any kind of upgrade would be nice. As the above poster said, rpm arms all around. Aluminum upgrades is a big plus. But for that price and giving the age of the truck, that's a great deal even stock.

Got it for 220. It has the 2.4 radio some extra stock parts battery for the starter cooling head that's probably no good in the box ( he broke fins off trying to pick it up from behind his bench with a yardstick!?) And a quart of fuel.

School me on tires too cause the ones on it spin really easy. I will be mainly if not always running on pavement with this car I have a 4x4 pede for bashing

That was a good deal you got. As for tires, if your doing mainly on road then the stock anaconda tires will do just fine. If not, look for some on road pro line tires. I heard their good as well.

Are these brakes some kinda joke? Car runs good but I deff need to fix the non existent brakes. I got so used to driving it when I grabbed my pede 4x4 I front flipped it forward like 5 times when I went to stop. Defy needs some better tires too but it ran great. The pede hangs with it though on 3s but I had 2.8 rears on the jato after one of the stockers blew half off the rim and a 52 spur, it slowed it down but man the electric has come a long way

Buy the Hot Racing dual brake kit. Not the one with the round discs, the one with the groovy discs.

Search Jato Brakes on eBay. Thy're about $40, but they totally lock up the rear wheels.

The Jato is a beast and super fast. You may want to consider Aluminum A-arms and beef up the front. After your 1st crash you won't have a choice ! I also have a pede running 3S 11.1V and you're right. Electric has come along way. I still prefer the Jato. Just love the sound of Nitro as it zips by doing over 60mph
