@peter - thx for that part nr i gonna that info with me

@50 - a little lower is cool , but looking at your pic it was a little too low

i must agree one this one with Peter - about the Plastic skidplates not really a fan of Alu parts on bottom of chassis
the alu part are to butter like , to take good impacts or slide through concreep
The only alu i am gonna do from now one will be Transmission box and bulkheads all the other alu stuff like rods and other things
i am gonna replace for -> steel or for good plastic stuff
another thing with alu parts is that if it got a scratch or it bends or busted you direcly see it and you see it good
with plastic parts its also a scratch but not dont look the same with damage as alu parts.

Nice low mervs there. I dont know about the camber but for straight line shouldnt it be 0.0 camber? Or at least close to 0 (with battery, etc)?

did you read the post after that? I was testing different limiters. That was a pic before alignment

I am pretty sure the aluminum has helped me on the jumps I do. In the dirt is not as bad as hitting asphalt at 65!

@ttThree: Since the camber decreases when you push in the suspension, I prefer zero camber at the rear and very slight negative on the front for speed run purposes.

That's good news! Don't know if you caught this on another post but when installing the horn don't use the inside hole like this use the hole to the outside. .I was having problems turning right wouldn't turn tight moved it out a hole works fine

Gimme a call next time so we can put my datalogger in it to see what it does speed and powerwise.
It looks pretty fast from that point of view.

Thx Peter !!!! for the compliment and nice to hear that from a guy like you
for a Merv its insane fast now but i dont be a competition to your Stampede and Dave his insane ride.
i must admit that for a rookie like me its fast enough now and i not gonna mesh up with more speed because this is good for me.

you did mention last week that you got a Datalogger but can not remember the brand anymore.Did some Google searches but there are to many (which brand you got) ??? the most insane one i can think of is that you can mount it and read it on a laptop at home , you even see what route you did , speed and some more. Also found a realtime datalogger which is higly recommended by guys who fly wih rc planes but that one you can not hook up to a laptop at home.

    let me know master

another prob : the place i always make my speedruns at , is closed for all public and got some fences around the whole place they even put boards on the road with forbidden to trespass.

the road by the yellow house is my drivin area , i think they are building something

    Update !!!

the mailman did show up at my door an hour ago

    brought me this

The metal servo horn from Hitec

also got a package from my Big friends which starts with a T
ordered some Proline decals in march this year but they did not deliver them

then last week i got a mail from a discount offer from them and bla bla so i mailed them back that
they better put some time in open orders then to send me a stupid email , then this friday i did see a mail back with your stuff is send to your home
so i got Integy decals and RPM decals (ordered Proline) hahahaha

the merv : rear rpm build from this weekend

nope did decide run the stock as long as they last and when they did break then doing rpm arms

the shop i bought the merv from did give me extra stock arms too , so used them first.

    BUT

must admit that stock arm are not that bad and last quit long (4 me)

Gpm ones , but they are very stiff and make the merv stand high on his feet

gonna lower them with rally shock limiters soon

great shocks but they make the merv a little to high on the feet for speedruns

I believe he posted previously that it was a Eagletree eLogger V4.

I remember because it had me looking at them after his discussion about it in a 3500 thread.

Eagletree eLogger V4 i came across many times
but is it not just a little to big for mounting on a merv ????

i found this one and did read many good reviews on this one
only thing it not able to hook up to a laptop or other source
to see location or a Grafix thing with peaks

but its small and light so you can mount it permently on a Merv

    its realtime logging

feedbacks ar welcome on this mod from you guys

The Voltron only updates once a second. So if your top speed is very short, it will be averaged out.
The Eagletree GPS module updates 10 times per second. Another feature of the eLogger is that it measures consumed amps and battery pack volts. You can also record servo movement and amount of throttle.
Besides the GPS module I also got a brushless motor RPM sensor.

It's far from cheap, but it comes with software which can make all kind of graphs.

did see that on their website but from what i understand is that every thing is sold seperate

does the stock Eagletree meassure speed ?????? or is it a stock thing and do you have to buy every option seperate ??

only thing i am interested in is speed or maybe indeed RPM

Mossie, that is probably how it all starts. Once you get the speed you will want rpm, then you might find you want you want to know your amp draw then the battery voltage etc....

The eLogger logs amps and volts.
You need an adapter to measure RPM and a different one to measure (GPS)speed. That last one also records location.

Lol. I said already that about 20 posts ago. We will do that.
Like Mossie said, it wont be easy to get all under the hood, but it's possible. I did logging with my own Merv too.

@dwmoss -> Peter is living 10 mins away from me so thats not the problem , also know and did see with my own eyes that Peter is a guy who will not let you down easy and i am a good judge of character 99% of then time.
i also did get offers from him since i got here from come and take me to runs with the rc (was not able to drive a car then) help with the shims when tower did nog deliver , help with Jaco foams , helping me with servo problem and helped me last week with my surfing off prob.

like i did mention in a few posts above when you talk 10 mins with Peter you notice he knows alot about the RC world and Technical things but its just so great guy that he dont brag about that.

from what i learned in my life is that you must try and do a lot by yourself and not to depent with alll things on others. That is gonna make you a very resourcefull person in life and i like to learn things and try them out.
i know a lot of my family and friends never try one thing themself and always got for every job a person or friend , and never do something on their own (boring persons and not very handy also)
you get my point DWmoss ?

@ Peter - the first thing when i did see the Eagletree was , how on earth this thing gonna fit under the body of a merv ???
another thing is that i think its a lot of money to check rpm and speed with this thing.
my intension is not to know speed to brag about he i do 70 or 74 mph but what i do wanna know it why i dont notice a huge difference in speed with 31T or 35T pinion and why i dont get the feeling to run harder with foams or speedhawgs.
what i do know is that with the 35t pinion i got a lot more motor heat and last sunday it was the first time i got the 4600kv warm (still could touch it easy)
so main reasson is to tweak and get the best setup and if 35T with foams get more heat and the mph is 2 more then i rather run speedhawgs with 31T pinion.

Peter you know -> mossie says YOU ROCK

That is why I offered to log some runs. Then you can see what happens powerwise. The logger isnt that huge, it fill fit in the front end.
