15 minutes on 160C. That is nuts. And hot. But you already found out the hard way. You should have read the book "Baking tires for dummies"
I hope the blisters are gone soon, my friend. Next Thursday I will go to the meeting at Spike City. Gimme a yell if you wanna go there and if I can pick you up.

    Oke !! Update

the thumbs are getting better and dont hurt as much as they did last couple of days

stupid mistake made with baking the tires of the rims

after 15 min at 160 c i was taking them from the oven with baking gloves on

the heat pulls right true the gloves and i felt it but hey i could not give up
so kept on fighting with them
When i wastaking of the oven gloves both my thumbs had blisters and hurted .......

    @Peter
thats 1 may and i can come to spijkenisse
in the morning i got a medical traning and after that got an appointment with has something to do with new job

    better next time Master

    The merv

i did sold my Apple Imac 2 days ago to a family member for a good price ( 4 months old)
when he came over to look he screamt Ill take it without bidding on the price.

needed the money so was very happy with that

so the last couple of i am trying to read as much about BB

today i was waking up and thought the **** with it
    i am gonna do it

so called almost every shop in the netherlands for a CASTLE CREATIONS SV2 SIDEWINDER 1/10TH 12V SPORT CAR ESC WITH 1406-5700 MOTOR

but there are probs at castle i learnt today and even the USA section can not deliver this

almost every online shop and normal shop is waiting on them

but the 4600 kv version is okee and can be deleivered at almost every shop

you guys know i like to speed run
so my question is will a 4600 kv do his job with a proper gear (31T/50) or (31T45)

    i run 3s parallel 2x 1400 mah traxxas and 2x1500 30C lipo
    the 2x1500 30c can provide 90A burst

    is 1406 - 4600kv an option for me ???????

and what speed will i get from 4600 kv 31T50 with 3s and hpi rims and speedhawgs

i have seen movies on youtube that with the same set up but 5700kv the run 66 mph

I have the 4600 with the MMP in my Merv. When we meet somewhere you can see what it does with that combo. I had plans to go today, but I had to stay home because the lady had to work. I will give a yell when I go there.

Good to hear your thumbs are healing.

i almost called with Bas and Eric the whole afternoon and they did a search for me too for the 5700kv
but even in the USA they wait on it for weeks now!!! Man they rock 4 real at bee racing

then i called PK racing also and he did ordered them direct from china and is wating now for 2 months on them
has something to do with production there and they can not deliver them !!!

as an alternitive Bas suggested a Robitronic 5400 8.5 turns and called the import guy for that
also probs with that engine and when they are in stock they are more $$$$$ then normal

he called me back and told me i got 1x 4600kv castle set in stock and he has layed it apart for me
i have been searching the whole day for details about the 4600 kv with sv2 esc but can not find
any got fact about speed and gears -> the details i am looking for is how fast a 4600kv will make the merv
i have seen that 5700kv with 31T50 will run 66 mph on GPS carminn runner.

Maybe the power is not a problem, but that motor would be quite sensitive when it comes about gearing. No idea what you would pay in the Netherlands, but I saw this on eBay: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/Castle-Creati...#ht_2992wt_866

No problem, buddy. Just got back from Bee. Got myself a 2650Kv Castle motor.
I remember getting the same combo without any tax issues. The risk is always there tho.
I run it on 31/45 and that is nice on 2S. Every once in a while I put my 3S ones in but I dont think they are able to deliver the amps the combo wants.

nope filling the diff with oil was easy and dont leak out

just like the stock 30K its a gel like oil

i got this info about the thinner oil from 2 guys from BEE RACING which is a shop with two guys who are famous in the dutch race scene and do lots of competition also

the giving me this advise when run most of the time on hard surface to put 10K front and 4k rear
because there is no need to lock the diff to much when running most hard surface and drivin a straight line

most of the guys do bashing and off road stuff and indeed then they advise go for 30K or more and even 100K

That motor plate wont work with the tenbol mount. And the stock plate is made to support a 380 size motor not a 540. Some people run the tenbol mount and never have problems with the plate bending. Some people have had the plate bend. I still believe the traxxas brushed setup is a whole lot better. And simpler.
