Slashatc is running stock aluminum c block and knuckles with tekno's he just changed the bearings to fit. he ran them today for the first time and seemed to hold up fine. If it doesnt rain tomorrow we will put a full day on them and ill report back. He didnt like the cblocks or knuckles that came in the tekno kit. I was on the fence about buying them too for this reason and if they hold up ill run them . I love the MIP's im using now,but they have to much slop and weigh to much for my liking.[/I]

If you want to run Tekno driveshafts with the traxxas aluminum parts up front, replace the Tekno outer bearing with the Boca 6x11x4 bearing.

That should be all. But I still can't figure out how you are breaking the Tekno parts.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.

well i found out why i was breaking them.... my steering servo is weak... its always just as im coming out of the corners ... the servo cant hold it to long and there for i slam into the wall.... so im replacing the servo with one that has more torque and still want the aluminum steering hubs and c hubs.... it'll save me from messing around with always having to order them...

rspcrawlers.com also has 6x11x4 rubber shielded bearings.Boca only has them in green shielded and metal shielded.Just another option.

well update on slashatc and his modded tekno,s . Im hooked we had some of the muddiest conditions yesterday and they help up fine while i went through bearings like water with my MIP's. We ran today as well and he still had no issues.

2 of us are running the savox 1256 servos and I like it so far. You WILL need a BEC for it though. castle 10amp bec no need for the pro.

You can get a Y adaptor and remove the red wire that goes into the ESC and leave the other side normal. This way you dont have to play with the wire. (plugging it back in to program the ESC) You also need to program the BEC I think its set on 4a out of the box the savox likes to run on 6a

all the settings for the bec are in volts.... and the savox runs on 6v ... so ill set my bec to 6v then... so i shouldnt need that seperate bec then .... right ????

also savox sells capacitors separate... for ( brown outs ) they call them..... for 4.99 on there website

your right its Volt not amps my bad. I cant comment on the caps they sell as i havent used them. slash has used them on his planes i think so hopefully he comments back. Your settings in the MMP set on 6v didnt work we tried. Once we put in the BEC no issues

yeah... i just put it in ... put all the settings in and turned it on ... the thing acted all goofy and crap... tried to turn the wheels and the servo went hay wire... turning back and forth on its own..... lol.. can this day get any better.....

i even called the hobby shop and he said bring it back it wont work... so i did... well we got to talkin and figured out that my bec was adjustable... so he said it would work... so now i just put my bec setting to 6v and it still goes hay wire.....

my hobby shop knows too now that it wont work with mmp... without all the extras...
