need info, and a pic please people.

ok so i just got this idea in my head and need to know some info, and get a pic if anyone can do this for me that would be great.

first off how much longer is revo a-arm compared to a slayer pro a-arm?

is there an older revo that has a narrower track width to make it closer to the same length for control arms?

and if anyone has slayer pro that they can put the revo control arms and axles and needed parts on but the the small slayer pro tires with slayer pro body on and take a pic that would be awesome!

or if someone has a revo they can throw some small tires on and a slayer pro body just kind of sitting around that would work to!

I only did this cause I owe you one for helping me out on my suspension or something on a different forum.
But here is my 2.5r revo with a slayer pro body and proline trenchers SC tires for the slayer pro.
Can't find the 4th tire and there isn't a any wheel hexs or bolts on.
Wish there was a a-arm size between the revo and slayer pro. Think I might get some wheel extensions for mine.

man...... it looks a little goofy, but im thinking of how much better it handles probably....... smh............. any way i can get you to search for the other wheel and try to see how it handles compared to your slayer? if its worth while i would so do it though. if u can get a running video that would awesome the slayer wheels should fit the revo to.

    this gave me the idea

this one has 12mm extensions on it

uh oh............... just found a youtube video a guy posted. all he did was take his revo, put e-savage tires on it (same as slayer pro tires?) and a slayer pro body. would post it up but he added little comments into the video with bad words in it sadly.

hey rock out, with the setup you posted for me can you compress the suspension until the truck bottoms out and still turn the front wheels all the way without hitting the body? can you check that for me possibly?

im starting to think more and more about getting some parts to do this and have more stability and im sure a hair more ground clearance as well.

awesome man, thanks for the pics

    sorry about the locktite lol

thought it might be cool to just widen the front out and leave the back alone lol. kind of like adding long travel suspension on a four wheeler lol.

not going to lie though i really want you to run it with the small tires and body on video so i can see it perform. if you dont mind that is lol

Yeah it would look like a prerunner a.k.a. trophy truck/street truck
It might be a pain because its a 2.5r revo (short chassis) it's gearing is already super short 14/40 lol and the body won't fit =[

awesome man, i appritiate it. so im guessing you dont have the wider suspension on it that the new revos of today have? if thats the case i can only expect bettter handling then in the video. i know what it will look like just sitting so just run the revo body on it man. i just want to know how it handles under high speed turns mostly in both grass and on pavement. stock slayers like to do what they call traction flip which is what im hoping to prevent by doing this. i would be so happy if i just spun out lol.

I'm not sure if the 2.5r revo and the 3.3 A-arms are the same.
Oh man it might flip lol I don't have sway bars on it and there blue springs (5.9 spring rate) all around with stock oil I think bought it used. lol with proline trenchers they are kinda soft and sticky too.
It already did a lot of traction flipping with the stock revo tires. Then I learned self control lol Got used to it now.

lol yeah it's weird but it works I think the piston holes in the shocks where the oil travels threw is bigger or something.

But anyways I test drive it infront of my house it handles just like the revo to me hit second slam the breaks and turn it just does a endo 180 if that makes sense. Couldn't do a high speed turn cause my streets kinda narrow and lots of parked cars. It's a little slower due to the wheels because it geared to the revo tires.
But all and all it handles like my slow 2.5r revo in my oppion lol just got my slayer pro 4x4 with that picco 26 max this week that suckers fast!

I'll try to get a video today.

so it just wants to spin out and not flip over then? thats what i wanted to know. would still love to see it on film though, not sure how well a revo handles never drove one, i just know how a slayer pro drives lol

The Revo with Pro-Line Trenchers on it!
My 1st nitro truck was a Revo, I flipped it a lot then got used to driving and having control. When I first got my slayer I drove it like it was my Revo causing it to flip easier.
Long story short Slayer flips easier to me.

awesome man, ive been paitently waiting and checking like every 30 minutes for a reply back with a video lol,

yeah im sold, i dont care if it does look a hair weird, the handling is so worth it. i would have flipped it repeatedly doing what you were lol.

and the good thing is that since mine is already a slayer gearing wont be an issue either.

again thanks alot for doing that man

Probably because its just a revo with small tires thrown on it. Wicked acceleration but zero top end. Mine wont have that probpem because its ment to have small tires so I cant wait
