Traxxas Link 4 channel question

Hi. I have a Traxxas Link 2.4 ghz, 4 channel model number 2240. I'm trying to use the 3 position switch to control a Punkrc 3D dig. When I place the toggle in the center position it is the same as of the other positions. What this does is only allows me to turn either the front or the rear motor and not both at the same time, which is how this Punkrc 3D dig works. Please help!!!!

The three position switch controls channels 4 and 5 on the Rx.
It is a SPDT 3 position (on-off-on) switch wired TSW DWN-GRD-TSW UP will give you off-4-4+5
TSW DWN is channel 4
TSW UP is channel 5

I believe the dig was designed to work with a modified thumb switch... not the locker switch.
The thumb switch activates 3 position channel, but the switch itself is a two position slider.


I hope I have not confused you even more...

I think I need to add that there is no way to combine channels 4 and 5 into one channel...
And that channels 4 and 5 do not center.
