    trenchers on desperados?

alright, thinking off getting four of these in 2.8 size, any mods needed to make them fit? i kno you have to cut the body but anything else? arent they 12mm hex? im getting alum hex so i dont have to worry about stripping. Do you need hex extenders or something like that?

You can run them but I would get the rustler from 12mm hexes they add alittle more room. You would also have to cut your stock body or get a new one and make it sit high on the chassis. I bought wheel extentions so my body sit low and don't show the chassis much

yes use the front 2wd hex's they add some width. I have the protrac kit on mine as well for the extra width. The body is a proline ford F250 e-maxx/2.5 t-maxx body.

how would the wheel hexs nuts from rustler make the front of a slash 4x4 wider? i under stand the front hexs are thinker but theres a pin that stops the hexs .so dose the rim just not go all the way on the hexs?

the hex on the 2wd cars is wider to compesate the offset, probably almost the double of the rear hex. Also the front rim has more offset. You are right the rim doesn't go all the way into the hex.

so would it be easy to strip out the wheel hexs? and on the slash 4x4 conversion to a mt is there any advantages of putting the receiver box up front and dose it half to be a slash 2wd?

if you get front tires all around you don't really need to get the 2wd hex, the only reason to move the receiver box to the front is to acomodate larger motors and esc like castle 2400, 2650, 2200. You can manage to fit the 4x4 receiver box at front it doesn't has to be a 2wd rx box.

Pre mounted will be better, but if you plan to run 3s you will need to tape them.

Slash 4x4's and stampede 4x4's use the same off set wheel front and rear. Thats a 2wd electric front or nitro rear. Adding the 2wd front hex to the front and rear of the 4x4 effectively adds width to the front and rear.

was thinking of it, but I have MIP's F&R and I will have to invest $60.00 on longer axles, so decided to leave it with the RPM arms.

with the proline baja bug body I use stock slash mounts, but I had to trim the fenders, with an HPI jeep body I use a pede mount, I heard the slash 2wd mounts works better since they are larger, but haven't tried them

Be careful! Lost a wheel that way. Adding the thicker aluminum 12mm hex reduces the amount of thread available for your axle nut on the end of the axle. Might not be enough at high speeds....mine wasn't. Nothing like seeing your trencher on desperado go rolling off into the sunset without your vehicle.
