I hope everyone painting them is ordering two of them - one to paint for use when it's on the shelf and one to leave clear for actual driving. I don't see the point in painting a shell that is going to get rashed up the first time you take it out to drive it.

Yup, they put on order with their supplier. They don't have a date yet on when it will ship but it's on backordered. It's easier so i don't have to keep looking at websites to see when they are available to order.

Kinda hard not to want to drive them really , I just want a clear one to paint white so it can match my other car , allready have a black , silver xo-1 body and blue ofna body and none are rashed up so far

Seeing most of the videos out there you pretty much need to paint it so you can see it. 80% of people are driving it so far away from themselves trying to get thier best shot at a hundred, it's a virtual speck by the time they start thier run.

PS to bring it: I've got to take a picture of this sign for you of a welding shop where I live. "BRINGIT" welding. The letters are huge 3D 20ft high boxed steel.

but i was thinking a loud color with some simple yet cool graphics on the sides.

Im loving the photoshop that green is spot on with what i was thinking.

can you do it in a tangerine or orange pearl?
I am with you 100% on the orange, that color on the saleen is nice! I'm thinking something between orange and copper.

Nice, then you are a good driver. Have you hit 100 MPH yet?

I do agree with you on that point for the high speed runs. I was thinking just for bashing at 50 MPH or less the clear body will be fine.

Can't wait to see the sign.

That's some serious paint work there. Did it not come with window masks or do you not like clear windows?

No masks? I guess you could use the stickers as masks. Why on earth would it not come with masks?

Driving with a clear body? Hmmm I guess I've sorta done that, but it really just turns into a grey body when you do that.... Might as well just buy a silver body at that point.

    Otherwise, embrace your road rash!

This is why I like racing stripes... I feel like a line down the center of the car gives me a visual reference. Or painting the front and rear different colors.

I'd do the front and rear different on my old 18th scale cars, but for the same reason, they were small and hard to see.

Since you like that showy stuff, if you make it green you should also make it glow in the dark!
