    No no, not my CURRENT car, but the ancestor of my current car!

    The day I bought'r as a 7105 brushed mini this happened:






    Burned down because of ESC failure. I don't even know if that motor was any good, I remember thinking "wow so cool" and that's about it.

    Within 12 hours this is what started my "mod bug" haha! Looks so NEW I don't even REMEMBER this car!





    I was just cleaning 5000000 pics off my phone and came across these, figured I'd add a thread with the pics and some tags so when this happens to someone else in the future they will learn this:

    No biggy, the ESC and Motor cost nothing really, upgrading to a big block has never been easier! Everything is already there, just need to pick your esc and motor and you're good to go!

    What mount is that? Why do people get the tenbol when they can get whatever you got? It fits so nicely.

    I have no idea why they do! It's the Traxxas part, released when they released the 550 I think. It fits every motor I've put in - that 550, Velineon 3500, DuraTrax 4450, Orion 9.5t.

    I like it because it covers the gear mesh completely.

    Only if you have the old gear cover. The new tra7379r has a huge hole in the cover and the old ones are no longer available

    I don't see what else that needs covered. The brush mount covers almost all the gears!

    no, the new gear cover has a huge 1/2"x1/2" hole in the backside for telemetry... the older TRA7379 is no longer avaialble

    Not sure if you are talking to me or not, but I haven't yet seen a pic thx for posting that! Sucks that 7379 is mia, what a joke!!

    Have you filled that hole? If I ended up with it I'd use my liquid tape

    I was really considering buying a brushed mini like the merv or gravedigger and swapping the vxl out for the bb gear cover and mount.. but those AM radios really put me off on the whole idea

    hopefully I can still find one online when I do have the money for a bigger motor and esc

    I never realized your merv wasn't 2.4ghz krall lol or is it?

    It wasn't, but I've since switched to a Spektrum TX and RX. 2.4ghz now. The 27mhz is waay too noisy, and if it goes out of range or even worse the batteries die... the car can/will just take off!

    the pic on the left half of what i posted is actually a picture i took of mine, on a paper towel...... i got it awhile ago.... long befroe anyone even knew that the telemetry was coming out.... i found out..... GRRRRRRRRRRRR

    I converted my brushed mini revo to brushless as soon as i got it out of the box. I put the brushed electronics into my sparrowhawk xxt. Not the best idea. I tried it a bit using the small nimh for the mini revo. It was really slow. So i thought, screw it, lets try a 2s lipo. First i tried it with the wheels from the ground, seemed good... so i went to drive it, WOW so fast... 10 sec later oh wait it doesnt move... HOLY **** massive smokescrreen! I quickly pulled the battery, the stench was unbelievable! I had fun destroying the esc afterwards (cant be bothered to send it in plus i changed the battery connector). Anyone know a dirt cheap brushed esc for a 1 10 vehicle?

    The 7379r has a plate that goes over the hole. Its what I have on my car.
