I was looking at getting a new car and I though that a truggy would be cool but I changed my mind to making a backslash, how much would it cost to build one and what parts would I need to get?

I know there are some wing mounts that fit great. Make sure u find one from someone specific to the 4x4 since the 2wd backslashes use diff shock towers.

I too agree the body will be ur biggest challenge. The ideal backslash body, the Proline Kyosho MP777 crowdpleaser is no longer in production.

I don't know how low you could mount a bajr on a 4wd slash but another member made it work on a 2wd backslash and it pretty sick too.

I had a losi ten wing and mount on my p4de truggy but, it took a bit of modding to make it a solid, beatable as in taking it share of hits, mounting bracket. I used a custom mounting plate on the inside of my rear tower, with long screws, nut running from the back of wing mount, through my tower and predrilled holes on the mounting plate. I made it like a solid one piece tower/wing mount.

yeah i got creative..and I'm not sure about it's structural integrity yet. I'm using 4 small spacers that came with the rpm adjustable body mounts. I have one on top and bottom on both sides.

you're gonna have to get creative to mount any wing on the shock tower. what i was thinking was when i do it im gonna get 2 aluminum plates cut them to fit the shock tower flush, drill all the holes i need to mount the wing and to bolt (sandwich) them the the tower

That's how I did it. I used some carbon pieces for more flex, this seemed to help because it had some give rather than snapping the tower or diff housing. It seemed like the really solid plate was a bit to stiff and on a hard impact it would crack the tower/diff housing.

Thanks for the link. Do they balloon out much? My past experiences with 1/8th buggy tires on-road is they last about 2 runs, then split directly down the middle from the wear.

I haven't really had a chance to try them out. I won some xo-1 wheels and tires on ebay so I will probably be using those for onroad.
