    Exclamation My wet slash

My MASH just fell into our green swimming pool and I was wondering what parts I need to oil and dry.

Dry everything, oil the metal parts.

    Brushed or brushless?

Either way, just a little machine oil on the bearings... NOT WD40.

3n1 will work fine. Even a drop of motor oil is better than nothing or WD.
WD has solvents in it that will destroy the impregnated oil in the motor.

it's actually not always waterproof, some of the receiver boxes aren't perfectly sealed from factory, like mine hahah

    2 holes on each tire

    opposite sides

outside of the tire in the middle, so when you throttle, it sprays out

use a really small drill or something, I used a box cutter and put short slits in the tires

whatever works, just need some opening to drain the water out while the wheels are spinning

I never did that! id be afraid of it starting to rip at a hole. But im paranoid obviously seeing how i thought i didnt glue my wheels rite so i just put a ton of glue on them and put a bead on the outside and now they look messy lol. But i dont think they will ever come unglued! haha

Good to know. I was going to use WD but now I think I will use my T9 lube on everything. I was thinking using WD because of it's water displacement properties but if it's bad for bearings I'll just use canned air and lube.

yeah WD-40's fine for external spraying after a wet run, but internally it sucks, I made that mistake already

With the bearings being rubber sealed on what I have seen/replaced it's probably less of a worry but I haven't pulled apart a motor yet. Might have metal shielded ones in the motor.
