My MASH just fell into our green swimming pooland I was wondering what parts I need to oil and dry.

Dry everything, oil the metal parts.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.
how do I oil the motor?
Brushed or brushless?
Either way, just a little machine oil on the bearings... NOT WD40.

brushless. Where do you get machine oil?
3n1 will work fine. Even a drop of motor oil is better than nothing or WD.
WD has solvents in it that will destroy the impregnated oil in the motor.

how do you get to the bearings?
1 barring on the front 1 on the back.
use a toothbrush!!
press the any key... where is the any key....
I was surprised it still worked after it came out of a 9ft deep swimming pool.
Lol its waterproof! Why were you surprised?
tooth brush, I love that simba! I'm gunna start using one to clean after bashing..
it's actually not always waterproof, some of the receiver boxes aren't perfectly sealed from factory, like mine hahah
did my own waterproofing, now this things a boat and a slash![]()

there was a puddle in the receiver box but the receiver still worked.
My rx box came with grease on the wires and an foam piece on the wire clamp. Im thinking it was pretty waterproof till i wipped off all the grease lol.
where do I put holes in the tires?
2 holes on each tire
opposite sides
outside of the tire in the middle, so when you throttle, it sprays out

what do I use to make the holes?
use a really small drill or something, I used a box cutter and put short slits in the tires
whatever works, just need some opening to drain the water out while the wheels are spinning

You put holes in the tires? Not just the wheels?i put 2 1/16 holes in each wheel
lol no on the outside of the tires, it's for draining water![]()

Just the outside of the tires.
I never did that!id be afraid of it starting to rip at a hole. But im paranoid obviously seeing how i thought i didnt glue my wheels rite so i just put a ton of glue on them and put a bead on the outside and now they look messy lol. But i dont think they will ever come unglued! haha
probably all wobbly lol, that's how mine are now from my nooby glue job, that's half the reason I want/need new ones![]()

yeah WD-40's fine for external spraying after a wet run, but internally it sucks, I made that mistake already![]()

WD-40 is bad for bearings? I thought he ment it was bad for the motor bearings.
With the bearings being rubber sealed on what I have seen/replaced it's probably less of a worry but I haven't pulled apart a motor yet. Might have metal shielded ones in the motor.
