A day in the life of my summit

I took my summit to a 1:1 ORV park the other day and I tried to capture some of the action to post since I get so much enjoyment out of watching the pictures and videos you guys post. I don't know how you all get such good footage, I don't like stopping to take pics all time, I'm not artistic, and I don't have a nice camera.


It is so hard to stay out of the mud puddles while I'm on my way back to the rock crawling area, so I try not to get too muddy on the way back there.



There are some gnarly ruts from the 1:1's out here, very fun to crossrut and watch the summit's suspension work.


Finally, made it to the rock crawling area...

After about 40 minutes of crawling we went to hang out near the big mudholes



Sorry, didn't get any video of me conquering this muddy rut (really hard to film by yourself out there).


Check out longhole! Look how steep it is to get out.



After about a half hour of mudbogging, it's time to head back to the truck so I don't run out of battery power. This thing must weigh over 20 pounds when it's full of thick mud and the tires are full of muddy water. It literally drags the rear skid on the ground and the tires are completely flat.



Made it back to the truck, it's so hard to guage how far your batteries will go when the truck is double it's regular weight.

My obligatory mud-loaded squat shot



This is all the cleaning she gets, hosed off, spin some water out of the tires, spray wd-40 into all exposed driveline bearings while it's upside down with the wheels turning, spin more water out of the tires. And finally spin some more water out of the tires. Did I mention spin more water out of the tires?


Then I drive it up and down the driveway in high gear to dry off.
Here's where she sits until the next run



And that's another good day with my summit!

Wish we had an off road park like that... that looked totally wicked!

Whoa!! Someone that lives sorta close to me?!? lol

I buddy and I are hoping to get a track built at his house this summer...
I want to build a track that can accommodate 1/10 and 1/16 plus a rock section.

Our end goal is to eventually have enough demand to open up a real hobby shop in our area.

Awesome thread, dude do know how lucky you are to have a place like that close by? If that was where I lived I would be the guy out the front each Saturday morning waiting for them to open the gates. Loved the pics and video.
