Problem with rear end gears and bearings after 1 hour of stock running

Hi everyone I could use some advice. I just unboxed erevo with MMM. Ran 4 one hour gently because quickly found out this thing is crazy fast and power. Broke drive shaft. Switch for steel from my summit . Slipper clutch loosened .so I tightens and lock tight. Now rear end bearing is shot. And clicking noises from rear end when I hit gas. Is there certain things I need to beef up or what? I haven't even run it hard and it's breaking. O and the motor Makes noises like the gears are binding. From right out of box. Normal?
Please help. And thanks to traxxas for such an awesome forum. Really enjoy all the great info.

Oh yeah I blew apart a tire too. I run lipos only. Bearing from main drive shaft to rear end is shot tearing part now. Is there some supper hard tires or even solid rubber tires for these that won't blow apart

ARe You running 6s or 4s. The hard clicking on acceleration is very likely your ring and pinion found inside the rear diff.

Make sure you run the slipper at least 1/4 turn loose. Running locked or close to it will tear the diffs apart.
Its All relative to your perspective.

Thanks for your advise. That was part of clicking rest seems to be in motor. But it was that way right out of box. Say you roll it foreword motor makes noise. Almost like gears aren't lined up right. But they are oh and spurgear nut fell out after first run.so had to re attach that to motor too

Has anyone put rear end from summit into erevo? Does it work or is stock one better. Has anyone else had problems I listed above?

The motor and transmission are supposed to make that "tank like" sound. Its just the plastic gearbox amplifying the strong motor magnets.

The summit rear is the same ring gear and pinion.

I would complain to Traxxas if i were you. Their ring gear and pinion need an update or redesign. As we have all said time after time....The ERBE Is good but NOT 6s capable. Your experience proves it.

What aftermarket should I put on to eliminate the problems everyone has been having
I will order today give me a list of beefier parts people.

Would love some tires that don't balloon up. Perhaps solid rubber. I can do standing backflip on gravel so traction is not a problem . I could care less about wheelies . Just want speed and control. For jumps

Well I agree, its not ready for 6s.... in stock form it'll tear itself apart.

On tires you gotta do some modding to get anything to hold together. For whatever reason tire technology on this size tire has fallen off the map. Tires are still designed as if we're running a first gen t-maxx from 1999.

You'll have to tape internally, or wrap externally to get tires to hold together. I recommend balancing them as well.

Gears, tightening your slipper did you no favors... I like to keep that thing fairly loose. If I punch it, you'll hear mine squeel. I'm also still on my original diffs... and have had the car for almost 2 years now.

The aluminum slipper will lose grip if you over-heat it, so if it seems like its slipping more than when it started, its probably really hot.... on the plus side, let it cool and its happy again. I've overheated the slipper a few times, and I still prefer to let it rest, compared to replacing a diff.

    Shafts, I recommend summit CV's.

You can keep the 6s and either detune the motor via castle link, or look into a low kv motor to calm things down. Or... learn to be very smooth with the throttle. No backflips, no full throttle in the air landings... just nice and smooth.

I too wish the diffs were stronger, but those are your choices with the OEM equipment.

If you go with low kv, you'll get increased run time, and lower operating tempratures. If you're ok with offbrand motors, they can be had for under $50.

It sounds like the diff had a short but hard life.(blown tire, standing backflips, locked slipper, unknown voltage)

I would make sure your plastic spur gear still has all it's teeth.

Two 11.1 . My slash handled all this just fine with the velenium motor . Amazed a car 2 times the price is two times as fragile

Well..... the Slash has a lot less to deal with. Its transmission does seem to be bulletproof though.

I wouldn't call the ERBE fragile... you just can't be hammer down on 6s with that 2200 motor. Its a powerhouse!

You can go to smaller wheels and relieve a lot of stress though.

I doubt you had this in mind:

However, if you run buggy size, or short course sized tires, the drivetrain will be much more durable.

    Slayer pro conversion....
