T-maxx 3.3 wont turn on

So I drove my truck for the first time after i bought it and crashed. In doing so i ripped the antenna wire out of the receiver. So I ordered a new one (#2215). I hooked the new one up and now my truck will not turn on. I don't know if it has to do with the receiver or if something else is going on. I have just replaced the batteries in my controller and the 4 in my truck and nothing happens when i turn it on. Any troubleshooting advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

You've probably damaged the power wire running into the receiver, or the switch is damaged.

Be sure to check all the wires and the switch as Harley suggested.

I checked all the wires, making sure they were not frayed or broken. I also unscrewed the switch and checked to make sure the wires had not pulled out. But like i said this truck is brand new. Had one minor wreck with it and has only been driven once. Any other suggestions?

Firstly, you shouldn't be driving fast enough to damage the truck when you're running it in if it really has only been driven once. It'll take you half a dozen tanks minimum to get some real action out of it.
Second, I doubt it to be a minor wreck: I've done some pretty stupid and damaging stuff with my traxxas cars and I've never had the electronics fail as the result of a crash.

Only thing I can think of is you ripped the aerial out of a 2.4 receiver and have either soldered the inner and outer sheaths together, or you've soldered too hot and fried the main board inside.

thats exactly what happened, except for i didn't do any soldering. I just bought a brand new reciever
