Hit a mail box pole today! Broke left a-arms, bent upper and lower hinge pins and broke my bulkhead and bent some bumper mount screws. Also bent my left turnbuckle.

    Even on dirt?

Have a spool in my street car, im aware of the xtra strain on your driveline but i thought on a smale scale on dirt it would be minimal?

loose dirt yes but not as fast as pavement. you have to remember a 1:1 car has metal driveshafts not plastic ones. gotta keep that in mind. and unless you physically never will touch pavement i wouldnt do it. but i have a feeling at some point or another you will be on pavement driving.

could always just pull the transmission. i find it to be easier then pulling the motor for the reason that you dont have to mess with the mesh again, just bolt it all back together. i dont have a stock gas tank though.

got it to start in about 4 pulls after sitting since october ish. plus the few pulls to prime the system. then i did a little tuning and beat her some. hit 276 degrees shut her off to cool and it finally did in my glow plug and i did not have another with the half tank of fuel in her still. i just put my last plug in my slayer pro. then after running the slayer some i pulled the plug and threw it in my maxx since my buddy wanted to see it run. hit something i didnt mean to hard, sent it about 10 feet in the air landed and turned hard and hit my buddy in the back of his leg at about 10mph lol. gotta do my aro still and a after run inspection from that impact. seemed to be driving ok though.

as for my slayer......... i beat the ever living heck out of it some more because its a champ and i treated it like it was a true torque truck

Went to go adjust mine and it stopped working altogether. Wont turn over even with the plug out so i believe my electric start might be going out. Any suggestions let me know. Btw it was running descent not great cause i hadnt got to adjust my HSN yet just the LSN before she stopped turning over.

Smiled as I saw the sun, Ive been away in the oilfield again for a month so since the gf was at work, I couldnt think of a better way to spend my day. Quick trip to the LHS to get a tamiya style connector to a RX female style for my hump pack that I installed before I left.
She fired up pretty quickly, tiny adjustment on the HSN and she was ready to go. I cant believe the steering difference with just switching to a hump pack and servo saver. Saves some $$ on batteries as well. Now that I have her all tuned Im gonna hop in the truck and head over to an abandoned wal-mart parking lot for some high speed runs. Still plenty of daylight left.... WHY NOT????

i cut out some plastic bottles and made some axle and shock protextors the other day they seem to help keep rock sticks and stuff out of the A arms. next up grade was the exhaust extention tube. today i took it out and got it real dirty hitting jumps and doing donuts and kicking up some dust
then i spent some time doing after run maintainence and cleaning not as much fun as bashing and jumping but has to be done so its ready to bash next time

I ordered some raven progressive springs, and i stopped by a local hobby shop to pick up a new fuel bottle and glue for the tires. But now I dont want to glue them till I get some foam. Didnt want to pay the price they were askin for foam at the hobby shop. Im gonna check out tower hobbies i guess.

The more airflow you can get passing through the body the better.
I drill 1/4in. holes in the grille section between the headlights,
cut a hole in the front windshield, cut the rear windshield to the shape of the cooling
head, and cut out the center rear tailgate leaving a 1/4in. lip all around.
I only cut the side window out if I've relocated the fuel tank.
