I havent heard of anything bad about the traxxas red aluminum push rods and toe links. Except the color might fade. I run them with no problems soo far.
k dont get anything but the HR "hot racing" toe and push rods, personally ive snapped alot of the plastic ends on the traxxas push/toe's and the gpm push/toe's, the HR's are aluminum rods and ends not plastic and tons cheaper then the traxxas ones, and same price as the gpm ones, and not only are the HR's all aluminum they are almost twice the size in diameter then any other out there....
Traxxas is good, but so are other Manus
GPM steel ones (dont get the alu ones) never disappointed me besides a rod end breaking once in a while.

Aren't the steel ones much heavier though? They'd weight the car down.
It takes a lot to weight your car down, I have the titanium ones and bent an end, but I managed to bend it back straight.
I guess im lucky soo far. I havent broken any rod ends on my traxxas rods yet. Also if you buy traxxas you can buy the HR aluminum rod ends.
Can I get a part number for both HR Push Rods and Toe Links
I wana get the right stuff

I just finished making my own today, I will upload a picture soon. I havent ran them yet since my esc messed up but they seem beast.

How do you adjust them!? lol needle nose pliers?
Yea pretty much. I just made them a little longer than the stockers cause with RPM arms and GH knuckles you need longer ones unless you bury the pillow balls, so I just made my own.

Are these the correct ones?

i run gpm stainless steel, they are awesome
i have broken a few ends, but all the plastic aftermarket ends fro many manufacturer breaks
if i could do it over again, i would stick with these, or get the new, titanium gpm rods that jsut came out.....
but overall, i am very pleased with the gpm SS
i am going to try and boil the ends, or try some different ends to see if i can build them stronger
Love how Noobs ask a ?, then say you're wrong
Funny thing is, that on the last 2 crashes I both ruined a rod end. If that is the weakest link, I am where I want to be. The cheapest part is the weakest link.

my aluminum ones (not Traxxas brand...) are all messed up and I've only ran the car with them about 4 times, never really hitting anything either. so far I've bent 2 push rods and one toe link. I've been bending them back, but it's only a matter of time before they just snap.
I've been thinking about using the threaded rod method. I used threaded rod with steel brake line for an outer sleeve for the suspension and steering links on my crawler and it was SUPER strong
and super cheap
what size threaded rod did you use for these little rod ends though, out of curiosity?

fix, run, break, repeat
6/32" I had to drill out the ends to make them a little bigger so i could get the rod threaded in.

How do you adjust them? lol
Really I don't have to, I made them the perfect lenght then just adjusted my pillow balls to straighten up my wheels.![]()

Oh yea! Forgot that you can use them to do that lol. Getting the wheels straight has been a learning experience for me lol. I guess im cockeyed because i can never get my wheels perfectly straight! They look straight till i put my truck on the ground and drive it and it starts tracking slightly to the left every time lol.
Just placed the order for the HR Push rods and Toe links!

I'm sorry man, I didnt even see this thread back up top when you posted. I used the traxxas ends, I dont know the part number off he top of my head but they are traxxas. Comes with 8 in a bag.

Just did a quick search, the part number is TRA7059.![]()

Nice, I cut the longer rods approx. 7cm if that helps.

Thanks i will figure it all out when i get my gh knuckles i ordered but that sounds about right.

Wouldn't drilling out the rod ends to make them larger to fir a 6/32 bold etc. mess up the threading inside the rod ends?
Yea it did but it left plenty of 'meat' for the rod to make new threads...they were TIGHT still so I was happy.
* "If it ain't broke, your doin it wrong" *
Thats great. Wonder if I could just get the rod ends the just look for a threaded bolt that would fit perfectly but I'll bet the rod end threads are a special size. Maybe I can even use my tape and die set to make my own threads on a steel rod.
