    MIP CVD's

Looking at the rear shafts on my Stampede 4x4 it's clear they're ready to break any time. I'd like to replace them with MIP CVD's.
Not sure what the difference is between slash 4x4 and stampede 4x4 rear cvd's? I can find the slash cvd's for $50 but the stampede ones are $58.

You can check here. You will need the #11110 for the front and the #11109 for the rear end. It should be the same for the Slash and Stampede 4x4, but apparently MIP makes different versions for them.

Thanks. The slash ones are 5mm shorter when collapsed than the stampede ones. Both are the same length extended. Not sure what effect this difference will have while running though

Ah ok. I looked at both and never noticed. As long as you dont hit the collapsing point, it should make no difference. Interesting...

It's only about $10 difference so I'll get the ones made for the Stampede.
I assume that having a longer collapsed length allows it to maintain more spline contact area throughout its travel

That sounds logical, but that would be an upgrade and they could stop making the Slash version. Lol. Still interesting. I dont see the price difference by the way.

I run the ones for the slash on my pede, and never had any issue.

That's where I found them for $50 but they only list ones for the slash. I think I'll go with those anyhow

There is no difference in the lengths per the specs. The 4.9mm discrepancy is because a different point on the axle side is being measured to. The disparity in the axles is the CVD drive hub, which is strangely $3 more expensive on the Slash 4x4 than the Stampede 4x4, and drawn differently.
I know they're having their break there by your brake drums. No, you're not invited.
