Ended up as 2wd at the end of the day sat. Just got around to checking it last night and......

it seems my 7250r steel center driveshaft lost a pin

does anyone know what might work as a replacement pin??? It is the one that is supposed to be held in place by the o ring.
I wondering if the axle pins might work??

received my tra7055 (rebuild kit for cvd driveshafts)

ordered some replacement hardware for my tbone skid plate. Lost a standoff somehow and some of my longer screws were stripping at their heads. (I think I was using too small of a philips head screwdriver) In addition during one of our 200 cart wheels we lost the rubber wheel for our wheelie bar.

found some ******* **** tech 2s 2200 (xt60 plugs) in a us warehouse and have a couple of those coming!!

We can cart wheel at any moment.

It is surprising we don't break more things on this merv.

I'm still giving credit to the tbone.

    Looking for some advice.....

I have a mamba max pro on route. Staying with the stock motor for now.

Looking for mounting recommendations. Alot of what I find is based on the older mmp design without the integrated fan.
I don't want to lose a battery compartment.

    Thanks in advance.

Great rc day yesterday. Ran through about 8 packs (4 sets of parallel 2s).

Here is a couple random thoughts.....

The **** techs fit but they are a very tight fit. Seemed to get similar run times compared to the zippies.

I want to solder on traxxas connectors to my *****'s and ********s. I'm getting tired of the excess battery cable length.

Tree climbing leads to broken bodies. Our bug body finally ripped to shreds. Any thoughts on the strongest bodies available for our merv?

I wonder if having the center diff in, leads to my driver being more aggressive. He doesn't need to control the throttle because we don't backflip out the start.

My driving partner couldn't keep up with us and was hitting thermal at (50/23), so I know it is just not our car but rather our conditions we typically run.

I need to get our driving partner a paraboard. We are using the traxxas parallel adapter so 2 lipos at a 1c charge rate takes us about an hour. So for 6 2s packs is about 3 hours. It take him about 6 hours!!

Took alot of cell phone video, I need my video editor to get to work, he is WAY behind. I have to find out why my mobile youtube shows more videos then when I log onto the pc.....

    Anyway, more stampede flying here...

I reinforced my bug body. I took some steel tubing ( solid) and bent it. Welded in some cross bars and then attached two thin and long plates (1/16) to thew which attach to the bodymounts. The body barely fits over and holds my bar setup in place.

Finally took a look at why I had a bunch of slop in the rear axles.

Both rear inner bearing had exploded/failed inside my HR axle carriers. Seems strange to me that both bearings would fail in the same location. Not amused.

Also found one of my jconcepts rulux wheels is cracked/broken. Again not amused.

On a better note, my replacement hardware for my tbone arrived, and the mmp is here waiting to be installed.

Anyone running a rechargeable battery back for the transmitter?? Recommendations??

hahah! that tree climbing video is awesome, 0:27 you got maad height and then at the end there I thought it was gunna climb right to the top! lol nice vid. I'm gunna watch the rest of these now, just had to comment on that.

...watched em all, I think my favorite is the self flip and the long jump lol

for your transmitter, I don't use a pack but I have 12 rechagable energizer batteries and a charger total was like $60 but you only need 4, I use the other eight for different things. They last forever too, they say 2500mah!? Nimh, but they're only AA batts, don't know how that's posiible but that's one good option, like $25 for a decent little charger and 4 batteries.

Thanks mossie!!! You are very encouraging to all, every forum, not just traxxas forums needs more members like you.

The tree climbing is a blast, although I just crack up when we try to tree climb but instead cartwheel about 35 times out of view.

    Mossie,

Come on over to the states and we will get you out of that street racing/speed run thing.

I'm really digging the "track" surface by the way, it is loose, but not so loose that the track is getting ripped up.
Have to watch for those "hidden" trees, but the t-bone bumpers are once again showing their worth!!

Oh yeah, and I'm really, really liking the center diff on this surface!!

Here is a better quality image with the protective film removed.

Also found I needed to make the hole in the body for the antenna, didn't on the first image and wondered why it didn't seem to want to sit flush. Looked through the windows and saw the antenna tube (even the stock short one).

Still trying to decide the best way to strength it, I did spray plasti dip the inside, but I have a tube of shoe goo, and some PTFE coated fiberglass cloth I'm looking at using.

Also anyone have an recommendations on velcroing the body. Hooks on the battery doors, and fuzzy side of the velcro on the body?

I hear that speed! I built a 5.0 mustang with a 326 supercharged stroker motor made 700hp. Revo speed is a little easier on the wallet.and it was blue!

i know the real tuning is not funny anymore and toooo much $$$$$$$

a 5.0 mustang is awesome (pure USA mussle)

i am more a rice guy -> Honda , Nissan and other Import -> always had a weak spot for Japan tuning

still own a showride tuning car -> a Nissan which i did not drive for almost a year now!!!!

and i agree tuning a merv is also much fun and indeed cheaper !!!

50 my man big respect 4 the Mustang

Sadly parked in the garage, due to little league baseball practice.

My little guy is smacking the cover off the ball with the bat.
