Nice, I just order some bearings for my steering from rcboys on ebay and saw they had some white mesh rims for 4.99 a pair, couldn't pass it up so I snagged them up too so I could "justify" the shipping costs lol.

Now I just have to decide do I want to leave them white or dye em black...hmmm...

Took it apart for the first time down to individual screws.. Fryed and Dyed the Chasis and other parts! Chameleon MERV Build!!! Let me know what you guys think!

I looked at my merv today! Im taking a brake with my merv because its been making me mad. I cannot get the brakes to work in reverse with the new radio. And im a failure at setting the toe and camber on my wheels lol. Once i get my faoms in ill work with it some more.

I trimmed my battery door towards the front so that i can place the batteries the opposite way so that i don't have to worry about the balance plug of the battery getting caught up in the tires.

Also added the 3M snap lock?? to the body and battery doors so i do not have to worry about body clips. That stuff holds TIGHT.. my VW body was getting way damaged do to the body clips but now i should have to worry.. might get a few more months out of the body now..

Just a little warning on putting Velcro on the battery doors. It will put a lot of stress on the door hinge as mine broke after a few landings on the body.

The good thing is that it's easier to take on and of and it helps keeping dirt out. And as weapon said no worries about body clips.

^^ I got the integy battery doors, cut out the same spot for the battery wires, and superglued the battery door tabs where they slip into the bottom of the chassis. I've had zero problems with the battery doors coming off now. I use 3m dual lock to keep the body held to the doors.

Thanks man, I'm not gonna lie I took it apart to the screw and it's been a SLLOOOW proccess putting it back together from the blow out pics that came with the car. But I'm getting the hang of everything and should have it complete this week. I'm still up in the air for bodies, trying to decide between another bug, the Raptor SVT or the Cammando.. I just wish they had more choices!

I like the jconcepts iluzion shell! Its different and its a lot thicker than the proline shells.

Yea what had happened was (insert creepy music here) I wanted to dye the chasis so I started unscrewing and the next thing you know I had about 200 screws on the table and tons of parts laying out.. Dyed the chasis, threw some chameleon paint and clear on it baked it and set it.. Then I was searching for hop up parts and figured Do I REALLY need a alum reciever box? And the cycle began, everything I didn't need new or hop'd upI just dyed and fried. The RPM arms came black so I bleached, metallic red and chameleon coat baked and set. Now I just gotta figure out if I want to keep the bug body and repaint a new one or go with the commando or SVT body..

A few days ago I replaced the diff oil in the front and rear diffs(30K) AND I replaced the shock oil with a mixture of 70 and 30K oil. The oil is good for the performance of the truck, but after a few runs so much of it had leaked out due to the high pressure inside and I am running stock shocks... they leak a lot! This weekend I will be walking around my community garage sale looking for an ammo box or something similar for under $10.

today i got angry to my merv because it keeps having problems i bought 2 new diffs and shimmed them both rear diff ok but the front diff got stripped in the first 5 min then i didnt care about it then the screw holding the rear bumber ( for me the wheelie bar) fell down as i was driving and now its lost!!! my tires are balooning like crazy doesnt matter how much glue i use :S and also got moy front skid broken today and the integy front body mount! im just getting more and more angry i couldnt even use it for about 6 packs without any problem. so i got angry and putten it to the top shelve so i dont see the broken parts. i have a small race at 17/05 and i have lots of problems with my merv also my integy front body mounts tower dissapeared. :S my opinion dont ever buy integy if you dont really really really need to

.. I looked at it, sitting there.. all alone, not getting any attention, I wondered, "aww poor thing its.." and before I continued that thought, got back to work on my Summit!

... poor thing! I have a 3S battery now too I still need to try in it haha.

Completed my MERV 5.0 Chameleon Edition! Did a couple of test runs, had to loosen some screws In the rear bulkhead to prevent binding, nut now it's all done (paint that is) (insert leading music here)

I did an ultimate upgrade.. no just got a 3 dollar led peice that's made for hat brims lol, I figured it would clip right on the rollcage and it did woot!

Yes and No I died the parts first then sprayed the color changing paint, cleared and heated all the parts to get a good adhesion prior to putting it back together...
