Not today, but Saturday.

Took it to the beach, stripped out the rear diff, and lost braking traction and put it in about 8" of water (fresh water).

Drove it out of the lake and shut it down for a good dry-out. I know it is waterproof but a submarine it is not.

End of the story.... All electronics are good to go.

Finally shredded my Proline 2.2" Road Rage tires. It wasn't the tread that wore out but the side walls. Could the bead lock rims cause this and/or my attempts at drifting on pavement? Luckily my LHS had Dirt Hawgs. Forgot how much fun the MERV is off road.

So today was a big day... Got a GoPro and Erx4x4 roller with like a million upgrades came in the mail! So far polished off the rims and tire set and exchanged shocks. Tomorrow will more than likely drop the t bone and steel CVDs and shimmed diffs!

I just tried 2 of my asian 2200mah 40C lipos in my MERV today (trashing 4 of my 20C 2200mah asian lipo due to not knowing if the puff will explode one day and I hate running in parallel!) With 1 lipo I got a run time of 30 minutes each lipo bashing at the park and doing track runs with the park paths! Now I remember why I never sold my MERV after I got my HPI Vorza! It's still a blast to run this thing! I'm going to replace my broken wing, body, and replace shock oil for a tune up...

Finally installed a Hitec HS-85MG servo on Merv #2. Installed Traxxas Receivers on 5 of my other models and bound them to the same transmitter. Tomorrow I'll bind them to a second Traxxas transmitter so I can run 2 models at the same time with with my son.

It's the stocker body so just some flat black spray paint.. If it gets scratched up I'll just wet sand and re apply... I love the look though...

Funny story it's just a GoPro Hero I don't know which one last deployment these BMX guys came out for like a morale show "bikes over Baghdad" and they dropped a bunch of boxes out to the soldiers. So I have the waterproof case and the regular one, chest strap, helmet strap, so I'd guess surf edition

I don't know how, if it was the beadlocks or maybe all the beach bashing has caught up to me but the transmission went out on me. Aka Pull the trigger on the remote, spur and pinion spin but little to no movement on the actual truck. Luckilly I got Erx4x4 roller so I just made the swap. All in all took about 30 minutes of my lunch break. However, I will post pics of true MERV paradise tonight.. Maybe a quick video..

Where did you buy your rulux rims from? and how much did you pay? I actually just ordered some and waiting for the tires to come too! I didn't buy dirt hawgs cause everyone has them lol! Also cleaning all my wheels with Simple Green. Will get some pics up when they arrive. I also put my dirt hawg truck tires and rims on ebay if anyone wants to check them out.

I bought them at the LHS since they're were the same price as online with shipping $9, plus I didn't want to wait. Not following with the dirt hawgs, just using what works for me.
