What did you do to your Merv today?

Any tips or tricks that you learned wile painting your first body

Oh yeah, well i did alot of masking using tape, but i rushed it so it didn't come out the way i wanted. The tape didn't cover the body to well so i got some spraypaint on some places where i didn't want it. And using white as base color wasn't too smart since every little mistake is visible when using white :P

So my tip to you is just take your time and do not rush it. And if you are going to use more then one color just make sure you let every layer dry to the fullest before removing masks and starting the other color

This time simply lost a screw holding a tie-rod to the rocker arm.. nothing major, but I don't have any replacement screws!!! Boo..

Hey krall what gearing do you recommend me starting with when i get my BB on Monday? I have the stock sput but can get a 45 or 55 at my LHS. I have 19, 23, 26, and 28tooth pinions but will order a different one if you think i need a different one.

Built 2 ramps for my in about 30 mins and then tested them. They actually work really good and soon will post a thread about how to build it and it costs about nothing lol

Proline Slipstream :P well it doesn't look super bad but if i would had taken more time masking and waiting between layers it would have been much nicer. I will probably get another body and try to make it better and use this one as a bash body xD

The jconcept illuzion body is only $17 i believe. Its the body i would of got if i wasnt going BB. The roof looks too low for a BB but i could be wrong lol.

Indeed i does! Im really glad someone else thinks so! lol i always thought i just had crazy taste cuz everyone else seems to like slipstream more! I think if my slipstream turns out well them im gonna have to get the illuzion body and see if it works.

Great choice. Make sure to tighten up your rear shox. That thing produces some serious downforce at high speeds.

Really??? I got it because it looks awesome on out trucks! I didnt know wings on them made a noticeable difference! But i have purple springs on the rear and 60wt oil i believe. Traxxas GTR shocks.

Well at least it looks like my rear get squeezed down lower at high speeds now, then with the stock wing.
Hard to meassure, as i can not run that fast to apply a ruler.

Put 60w in front shocks 50w in rear,lil stiffer springs,adjusted caster balls and then bashed the snot out of it.Ran great now to recharge lipos and get ready for the track monday woot.

You will need to drill them yourself. I used a body reamer. There is a pattern printed on the backside so its not too hard to get the holes even placed.

If you have a bit, use it.
A reamer is easier/quicker to get the right size... but is not necessary.

Thats no good man! I ordered the last set from amain a wile ago then the only plae i could find my 2nd set was towerhobbies. I dont know if they have them any more. Ebay usually has stuff tho! Thats where i got my speed hawgs which are out of stock at most vendors.

Thats why tower only has one set lol

ordered t bone with bumpers, installed rpm knuckles took it for a spin after a complete tear down and cleaning and found a few things i missed such as 2 wheel bearings,and a damaged drive shaft. im going to fix it all tommorrow and then rip it for all its worth.

Good luck with the RPM knuckles man! Some people have had problems with them

what sort of problems with rpm knuckles i went with these cause the aluminum ones i had wore out on me. took it for a quick spin seamed great

With RPM knuckles the pivot balls tend to pop out. Only happens when you hit something.

yeah when you smack a curb on an angle the RPM knuckles let the pivot balls pop out, or when you're going top speed and you hit a pot hole

today I am going to pick up a cheap soldering iron and electrical solder wire, then get to properly fixing my esc and battery connectors (glue came loose last night after the third run )..

first I have to go to the dreaded hospital and wait all day to get a spot ... dog bit me a couple of weeks ago, I was wrestling around with him, and now I'm starting to feel pains in my arm

Got me the stock motor, esc and bigger pinion, gave it a whirl and was like " hmmmm im sure these things are supposed to go faster" till i realized i was in trainer mode, thats when the chaos began!!!!!
