    BIG SURPRISE!!!! **Electrifried NEWB issue**

    I got my Slash 4X4 Ultimate last night.

    Ran it with the std battery this morning and am impressed, I ran it till I kilt the battery which was about 30 mins.

    At lunch I installed my balance charged Traxxas 5000MAH 11.1 3s battree. I switched modes on the esc to the LiPo setting but the esc light kept flashing green. I read the book over and over and tried to adjust settings and after a bit of playing with the multifunction switch I got it to run but it was sketchy as it would stop moving forward intermitt but would run in reverse and then foward again. I reset the controller and from my understanding the MF knob should control the steering sensitivity which has me confused.

    The esc light was flashing green fash and constant which the book says is throttle trim is incorrectly set. I have the esc in sport mode BTW.

    Any help?

    Your Lipo is dead. Fully charge it and try again.

    Set your throttle / brake EPA's at 100%
    Calibrate the ESC to your transmitter

    you will have to change the multi function know to throttle trim and adjust till it turns solid green.

    Thank you gentlemen. I'll give it all a try.

    I charged my battery on the way home from work on my EZ peak 6 amp on balance and it took like 20ish minutes.

    Well, that didn't work.

    I discharged both the standard and LiPo batteries, set the multifunction control to throttle trim and the light either blinks green (LiPo) or red (NiMh). Traxxas support isn't available today so it looks like I'm screwed outta a nice weekend to run it.

    It won't let me program the esc to the controller either.

    At one point with LiPo hooked up it spun up the wheels with NO throttle applied at all but that was it.

    I think I saw where it said something about setting everything back to default in the owner's manual. Worth a look?

    I did a reset on the transmitter but the esc won't program.... all it does is flash or switch between lvd modes.

    It worked once perfectly (out of the box) with the supplied battery.

    If I wasn't already bald I'd certainly have pulled out any hair I had.
