    Shell ventilation tip

I just posted this in the big erevo forum, but it works well for the merv as well

if you want some exit ventilation out of your roof without cutting out a chunk and decreasing it's stability, i found making some holes with the tip of a soldering iron works great. just put some mesh behind it and youll get some great ventilation without compromising shell rigidity.

FL had a few days in the 80s. How hot is too hot for an electric motor?

Is the mesh the kind of material you use on a screen door?

You don't want to hit 200°
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

    That's correct.

Also know that a hair dryer really helps the ca glue harden

Okay i need a temp gun. My motor was pretty hot last weekend after a few high speed runs. It was too hot to touch for more than a few sec. I dont know the exact temp tho.

Please don't use your soldering iron to melt plastic

Either way, I'm impressed with how straight you got the holes, once you get past 2.. it's hard to keep a straight line! I've started drawing grids, and then a punch to make a dent, and a drill to follow the punch hole. It's a tad more work, but keeps things like this perfectly aligned.
