    Exclamation 100+ MPH Mini Slash?

I was just reading about motors, speed, 100+ MPH, ect. and I stumbled upon the idea of a 100+ MPH 1/16 Slash. Would a XO-1 motor/ESC combo fit in one? Than you cold install 3s LiPos in Series, and maybe make a 380 sized Traxxas/Castle 1/16 no Velcro ESC mount*.

*In the VXL 3m dual lock area.
    Only 70 MPH? MORE LIPO!!!!

i dont think its possible because how are u going to get a motor small enough to fit in2 the Mash that would have enough power. u also wont b able to get proper batteries into a 1/16 scale to power it all and keep it going. at those speeds with a 1/16 scale a twitch of the steering and it will b doing cartwheels probably

Maybe you could strap it to a drag car at the dragstrip...hit 100mph easily

In that picture, the 2028 is the Mamba Monster photoshopped bigger. (you can see they are the same picture, even the blue reflection of the Velineon)

    Good catch, Krallopian!
I stole this from a thread similar to this one...
I will edit this picture out of my arsenal and put one with just the first 4.

The 4th from the left is what is in the XO1

    New picture:

It's designed to get Bajas to 60mph. And it weighs 6oz more than a stock Merv.

Certainly would not need a motor that large to hit 100 mph

A Mamba Max Pro with a Neu 1112 1.5Y running 6s would get you there, assuming you could get the car to stick to the ground

Your merv would turn into a plane at 100mph. I have a feeling it would take off from the speed. There's a thought, get a merv, fabricate some wings and see how far you can get it stay off the ground. LOL

I think its possible... That being said, the only way would to have everything custom made, so custom, that you wouldnt be able to call it a merv, at all. Just a custom RC with a Merv shell.

It would be a chassis built around the motor. Custom tranny, differentials, everything. And at that size all the metal components, which would probably be the entire thing, would have to be titanium. And dont forget about the tow hitch so you can haul Gully around on his Lazy Boy.

You might as well take up rocketry and strap the largest rocket motor you can buy or make to the top of yours and set that baby off. Which imo would be awesome!!

With a launch start, and some wings, that could get into the air...

That would be a cool onboard video. Put a ramp ahead of it by 50 FT., jump it, and BAM! You're flying!
