    Pinion gears

    What are the part numbers your using for pinion gears. A 22 is not listed in the parts diagram.

    just use mod1 pinions does not matter who makes it

    Yup, I have no clue what brand my 21t is... but as long as its mod1 on a 5mm shaft, you're RTR.

    You can use any Mod 1 Pinion but if you want to stick with the XO-1 parts, I know Traxxas is making a 29T pinion for it, just has not been released yet.

    Thanks for the help. Ive only been into rcs for a year so Im still learning everyday. Purchased a 23t. I want to use the car for drifting.

    I have used Integy ones so long as they are m1 & 5mm shaft

    I've been running a 21 and a 27. Work PERFECTLY as long as MOD1 and 5mm. It's fine if it's a little narrower than the stock--doesn't truly matter. You must put a bit of locktite on the new screw (and let it cure) or the pinion will likely come loose, and you may have the screw fly out--and make sure you get it square on the shaft's flat spot.
