    Nice GPS reading

It would be cool but I don't think we will see a production Spartan setup for 100mph. It would have to be a completely different boat IMO because I don't think the plastic hull would hold up to those speeds.

I can hardly keep mine stable as it is, 100mph would be like a deadly rocket flying across.

Nice, controlled run, Megacorp. I have the Spartan and the XO-1. I run the Spartan between 50 and 60 MPH (with minor upgrades), which is PLENTY fast on water. I run my XO-1 between 70 and 85 MPH for the most part--trust me, 100 MPH on land is way too fast unless you have a LOT of space, and a smooth, grippy surface (many wrecks on YouTube for those who didn't heed this warning). There are videos of RC boats going 80 to 100 MPH, but this is NOT "RTR" stuff--these people are experts, with really trick stuff. The fastest Spartan I've seen is almost 70, and that is FLYING on water. Google the super fast RC boat runs of the 100 MPH variety, and you will see some really cool videos

Well, maybe not exactly 100mph but a production upgrade version of a 70mph Spartan will be good enough!!

Just an upgrade of motor/esc/prop I am sure Traxxas will bring new lines of products based Spartan. Take a look of its Slash 4x4 series.

It is not easy to get a Spartan with stock electronics above 60 mph....I have 60.1 the second month of testing and then took 2 more months to reach 63.9. Just real difficult to keep the boat in the water. I have other boats, but the Spartan is still my fastest.

I used an Octura M445 for the 60.1 speed and a Prather 220 stainless steel for 63.9 run. But believe me it is not just the prop alone. It takes many hours of adjusting this and that and then some more. Also the stock electronics..ESC mainly, do not like the load the larger props inflict on them. I have ruined 3 stock speed controls in the process.

I no longer use the larger props with the stock ESC, I stay with the Octura X442 in my red Spartan and use a Prather 215ss in my "Blue By U" Spartan. Both of thoes boats are the old style hull. I also have one of the new style hulls and that is a work in progress.....
