What did you break today ?

So we have a what did you do for your ERBE...
So let's have a what did you break today thread with lots of pictures...
Just returned today from 7 hours of racing at the local track buggy done fine went thru 1/2 gallon of fuel with no breaks.
The e-revo however broke 2 axle carriers on the rear split right by the bearing ,couple hours later left broke again this time where the push rod connects. When the last race over we had a long jump contest son made the triple landed in the middle on the next set of doubles. This was around 60 foot of total air,but broke this on landing

Yeah its rather nasty...we changed the track today so it was really dusty afterwards took several videos here is one will post the others as they come up.The ERBE does jump far think its the weight that helps, noticed that the truggy that was running with us when it made the same jumps the wind restricted its distance...

Actually quite simple with enough speed and the right launch its quite surprising how far a rc car will fly. With you being new to rc I'm guessing you haven't checked tube there are some great video's of guys jumping school bus even ponds,go check them out you will really be FANTASTICALLY baffled...lol

Well ill be. If it's any consolation, I keep breaking my bulks on big jumps too. I keep daydreaming of aluminum bulks but am scared to death of bending one.

I'm sure there is a lot more broke...will se next Saturday when I tear it a part. What got me was how brittle the axle carriers are think I'm just gonna order the rpm version.

    That's some crazy braking!!!

I broke my spoiler off today, yesterday was the wheelie bar that I broke!
I consider myself fairly lucky with that?

I've had the truck maybe 10 packs through it, I've gone through 2 front bulkheads, 1 rear bulkhead, 1 chassis and a couple of skid plates front and Back!
Oh and a rear diff ring and pinion gear!

Ive learned how to take apart the beast now I would like
To try my hand at keeping it together!!!

Was looking earlier this bulk head deal is gonna be tough.Looks like there is a lot to take off to replace.
What I really don't understand is why they call it a bulk head it seems like it would be just called a case !

    man thats some serious carnage!!!
the other day, i run mine on the street, look left and right, no traffic, erbe heading towards me, when its just about to pass me car pulled out the driveway, did a quick left turn to avoid hitting the car, flip it, skid towards the curb. check for damage all i see was, i pop the right front ball joints, did'nt have the body on so body post are filed down and my wing too. 10 minutes after that, its back and running.

you dont really have to crack the bulkhead in half to get the diff out, the diff output shaft have a cutout on the bulkhead to were you can just slide it up/down. once the grub pins out of the driveline and few screws that held the bulks then it should be out.

Parts came in today ! New rpm front bumper & mount, servo saver, rpm rod ends, carrier bearings, shock ends & the front bulk head. Frnt bulk head was a little challenging next time will go faster I'm certain. Only real problem was the stripped screw luckily I had a small enough reverse drill bit, ready now for next race day...gonna cool it on the long jumps tho

    hey brewers
that long screw that u stripped is a pain
dont know y traxxas put a dome head screw on there as its easy to round

but i had a long rear shock mount bolt that was just long enough
and has a normal big hex head and it fits perfectly and i havnt stripped the head since

This was the most odd crash ive ever seen doing a speed run. i managed to hit the side chassis horizontally with a curb!

    broken parts equal
    chassis receiver box
    battery door
    motor plate was bent bad.

not the most expensive crash but made a lot of little pieces go flying along with a good crash sound . lol.

Also i managed to shift the cells in the battery to one side .kind of looks like stairs now! lol

First time i put the big dual 3s lipo batteries in my e revo i completely annihilated the spur and messed up the slipper, so I had to replace the whole slipper assembly. There was also so many pieces of shredded plastic it was unreal!

Annihilated 2 tires again today, love the Talons for all around bashing but they just can't stand the power of the beast.
I still have 4 ProLine Desperados 3.8 brand new in package so I need to buy tires to put on those...
What do you guys recommend for a good all around tire ?

I also broke an axle-shaft wich I replaced in less than 5 minutes so it didn't ruin my day !!!
It pays to bring spare parts when you go out with your ERBE ...

im not having much luck with tyre either
i made mistake of using general super glue from the supermarket
and my new badlands on plain flat rims came apart in some spots
and today took it out with new gs racing chunky tyres on 1/2 off set rulux rims
and they started coming apart too

i just ordered 2 bottles of ca super glue
i dont mind glueing em up but cleaning them properly to reglue is the worst
    im contemplating using sikaflex hehehehe
we use that on sticking sheet metal to cars and in never comes off
    heheheeh

Knock on wood, I don't get how much stuff you guys are breaking! My ERBE probably has 40 packs through, I think 6 toe turnbuckles, 3 bulks per end, rear side/ spider gears once. I went through halfshafts like candy for a while till found a nice slipper setting. The thing that I can't figger out is how the **** Traxxas steel cvd's pull out all the time with rpm arms, on the dumbest little things. Then you huck it 50/20 and they stay together.
