Does Robinson Racing make a 26T pinion?

My 26T CC pinion chewed up a 50T spur after it got loose on the shaft

The problem is the teeny grub screw the CC pinions have

It seems I just can't get it tight enough, even using quality drivers

My 25T RR pinion has a larger grub screw that's pretty solid, so I'd like to get one in 26T, but I don't see it listed

I change my pinions too often to use Locktite

Besides, even though the grub screw got loose enough to slide on the shaft, it was still tight enough to strip while taking out

If I had Locktite on it, I'd probably drilling it out right now lol

I hate the little grub screws that cc use.....I do like the bigger one that rr use. If i knew b4 i ordered several diff pinions for my new castle motor with 5mm shaft i would have never orderd them pinions....I have almost replaced all the cc ones with the rr...cc pinions are a waste of cash imo.

    Nice

Just use some blue loctite, doesnt take any longer when inserting the grub screw

How does your car open the door for itself

    Cheers

With them cc pinions i almost promise if you used blue loctite you will be drilling that grub screw out....thats even using the good tools....its not a very good quality part.

RC Monster 26T pinion came in a few days ago, but only got a chance to install it today

Unlike the CC pinion, it has a nice big 2mm grub screw

Also installed a new 50T spur

    First impressions:

    1) Install was a snap. The larger grub screw made it easier to line up the reducer sleeve on the shaft.

    2) The RCM pinion actually has a wider surface area than the CC pinion, which makes alignment with the spur easier.

    3) The mesh is smooth and like the CC pinion, it's quieter than the RR 25T.

I ran a pack through it earlier chasing cars and bashing inside my shop and the mesh remained perfect

Charged it up again and hit the road again, but popped a wheelie on a top end run and went cartwheeling, just narrowly missing me

Ended up snapping a rear LCA
