    carbon chassis

    has any one thought about doing a carbon fiber chassis from extreme carbon , and do you think it would benefit or hurt the cars performance thank you for any help

    I am going to assume since its a flat chassis there will be some c/f chassis that come out! i would buy one from extreme racing most of my vehicles are equipped with there products already

    Just found out xtreme racing is making a chassis for the xo-1 it will be available early April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and around $135

    This looks cool i love carbon fiber so thats why i ordered the chasis and the top strip mostly for looks but i think it should shave some weight off the car. Kinda expensive though lol i hope they come out with more carbon parts for this car, and hopfully integy will make some nice aluminum hop-ups.

    150 actually sounds about right. I was thinking of trying to make my own, and blank sheets of CF that are big enough to cut down are SPENDY!

    What would be the benefit of a CF chassis besides weight difference and good looks? Actually, I would think you'd wanna keep the weight of the aluminum chassis since it's about as low on the car as it can get.

    Im a cf freak so thats why im going to buy it ! lol

    yes your right the weight will actually hurt us but that can be fixed with heavier lipos. lol

    After some of the hits my car has taken, I'd be worried about cracking a CF chasis....

    So I don't really see this as a performance upgrade, but it sure would be pretty.

    A 3mm carbon fiber chassis that big will flex... I prefer a 3mm 7075 aluminum chassis with a honeycomb pattern like this:



    Which I'm going to make as soon as I get my X0-1 in a few months...
