The black boots are rubber but at the top, yoke its a combo of plastic and rubber.
Got some pix for you guys... of course cause it "happened" lol thy reminds me of a movie.... ya that just happened ...lol
El Sob, yup, butts right up to them, no prob. They look like they are a touch short on the outdrives and after the install I thought they were but I forgot, its like a thin sleeve right to the diff bearings. I looked at the exploded view yesterday, thought the front may need a new outdrives set cause some of the #'s didn't match up (x at the end of same #) but Nope its all good. I didn't fudge anything, its all legit, and my name id all over it so feel free to come at me if you question any part of this install. I'll do my best to answer questions as best as my experience allows! Cool, on with the show. None of you are gonna like the end result cause if you know me, you already know its going to be a sl4sh xlmt. I'll be finding the most functional monster sized parts for this build and in my opinion, the outcome will be spectacular like my 2wd xl. Here's some pix. First off, to do this, you will need the shafts, bearings f/r carriers from the XO1. The bearings are nice and beefy so the carriers are too. The light blue is a 4x4 ultimate I had from the last one I bought. You can sure see the diffence!
In this one, you can see that the carrier is slightly differnt, it may be as simple as the extra link hole but I didn't take it apart because the rears were a pain and I scratched it a bit. Lol learn from my mistakes. It may not be a needed part for the install but I wouldn't want to say so and find out I messed someones install up. Then you would be pretty ticked lol.
