Traxxas TQi radio on the e-maxx

Does the traxxas e-maxx 3908 (brushless) come with all the required sensors and the TQi control and dock or will i have to buy the sensors to get speed, RPM, temperature and battery.

I hope it does that's one of the reasons I why I bought the truck, it's coming sometime this week. I looked at the product info on Traxxas page and it doesnt really say if it does or not. I would assume it does.

The 3908 coming with the TQi system is apparently a fairly new thing. If one has already been ordered from somewhere don't be surprised if it doesn't come with the TQi transmitter. Old stock will be sold first and I would think the retail price will rise with the new transmitter. As for the onboard sensors and iPod docking base, my guess is those items will be sold as accessories and not included in the stock vehicle.

I called Traxxas and you need to purchase the sensors separately. They said they wont be available for 90 Days.

So where could I get the sensors they can't say with base and tqi control and all the other stuff and not be able to send it to you that is a rip off because you think you will get everything but really will have to go buy even more parts

I didn't read anything that would lead me to believe the truck comes with anything other than the transmitter. Traxxas could include IPod dock and sensors but it would just make it more expensive for someone to get into a base truck. Not everyone is gonna want all the extra baggage so they shouldn't have to pay for it. The way it is now you only pay if you want to.

I talked to Traxxas yesterday, I have already placed an order through the LHS for the parts needed for the EMaxx. Its about 6 parts and I dont have the #s with me right now, I think I left them at work. around 45$ if I remember correct.

Yes the parts are automatically backordered but hey, I got my name on the list! Ill get you the part #s tomorrow if you're interested

It's an awesome idea. They have been doing this with RC airplanes for well over a year now. Spectrum, HiTec and a couple of other big vendors. Even cheapie china is starting to rip everyone off. It would be great to have temp sensor for motor and battery voltage guage as well as speedometer for fast speed runs. I also noticed that the TQi system is not something Traxxas is allowing to trade in for an upgrade or I would certainly do that. This is the coolest mod since LED's.

I called Traxxas, they dont even have them, we had to figure this out together and even still, he wasnt 100% sure. I went to Local Hobby Shop, placed my order and everything went auto back order. "...Anyday now..."

Oh also just checked, the emaxx brushless comes with the docking base but no sensors.
