    problems with steering servo

bought the summit in august 2011 driven it maybe 10 hours at the most before left steering servo stopped working. i replaced it with a new one that traxxas sent me and have driven it no more than 3 hours since. then i was using it again yesterday when it was steering very slowly and when i turned left it wouldnt turn all the way left, but it was still turning all the way to the right. i looked and both servos were both the same temperature but still quite hot to touch. both batteries were fully charged, diffs were unlocked. has anyone had this problem before or does anyone know what may be causing this problem? id appreciate any help.

The servos are connected to each other via the links. Unfortunately that means they "fight" each other if not adjusted perfect. And even then sometimes one of the pots drift off a hair. This makes them burn up. Either one and sometimes both. The best fix is an aftermarket servo such as hitec or savox with 300oz of torque and only run one. The 2 traxxas ones make 250 put together, burn up often, and are plastic geared.
