Adding a TQi System to your car

WOW!! cost keeps rising!

I have been doing some research and I think I have narrowed down what you will need to run a TQi system with telemetry...

Trans/receiver
Docking station
Temp sensor and mount
RPM sensor and mount
RPM magnet and spur gear mount
Voltage power tap (i think this is optional)
these items are scale specific but you can add them to the 1/8, nitro and 1/16 scales too.

roughly 45$ for the aforementioned parts

and if you want the GPS speed - GPS module and expansion module to accommodate the extra plugs
OH, GPS is around 160 if you want to add that

lets not forget the I device and app

If I have forgotten something or am incorrect, please correct me

I think you may be off on your prices... lol
I have not done any research myself, but read that it would be roughly $100 to add telemetry to the stock TQi and any RC.... not including GPS.

So, if you do not have an iDevice, it would be close to $400.

~$100 for stock 4 channel TQi
~$100 for telemetry parts
~$200 for the iDevice

Shoot... I was just thinking... I could build an 8 channel 2.4ghz high output LINK system for $250ish. lol

Called Traxxas today, they still dont have the sensors and mounts in stock. Jared was unaware of what was exactly needed as they havent had the chance to "play with the system yet".

He said, I was the first person to call and request information how to add TQi telemetry to a car that didnt have it.

"Any day now"...hopefully we will have more information this week.

Got my transmitter, receiver and dock coming in the mail! YAY!
