There are plenty of good systems for that, why do you want Castle?
Do you want sensored or sensorless?
I have a 1/10 castle motor in mine , a 4pole , and a 1/10 esc
I have also a question concerning castle. Is it possible to connect the sidewinder 3 to the brushless motor of the little revo?
Do i have to change anything else?
Im on vacation in the USA in two weeks and think about buying a sidewinder 3 ESC there.
Maybe new connectors. Otherwise they should be compatible. Where are you visiting?
1:16 slash
Hmm.. which connector would I need?
I freezed one ESC and get a new one from "Traxxas", but i heard the sidewinder wont heat that much and gives more breaking power?
We will make a round trip -> LA, San Francisco and Vegas. The typical tourist route I think![]()
The castle 4600 or 5700 combo's are great!
The sidewinder will work good with the stock motor and the mamba max is stronger then the sidewinder
Your would need matching bullet connectors for the motor and a trx connector for the battery
That will be a nice trip!
Matching bullet connectors means soldering. Your LHS should be able to do it for you though if you aren't able to. The connectors only cost a few bucks as well. As 50togo said the 4600 and 5700 are great, the 5700 is a very fast motor!!
Should even come with bullet connectors. My 7700 and 9000 did
Here is my new CC 5700 with a sidewinder 3 a 26 piņon is the smallest gear you can run without cutting the receiver box. It run pretty cool on 3s and way cool on 2s.
How the bullet connectors are called?
I dont think that a LHS in Germany own them, because Castle isnt sold here.
And their components are hard to get.
Thanks 50, i think so as well![]()
The Sidewinder SV3 should have 4mm bullet connectors according to this. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDAXF&P=V
Castle sells bullet connectors. Part numbers can be found here. http://castlecreations.com/products/ccbullet.html
The Velineon 380 uses 3.5mm bullets according to this. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXKM1
If you don't want to solder they make adapters like these. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...P?I=LXPHD9&P=8
If you want buy from another store try a search for "bullet adapter 4mm male 3.5mm female".
I hope this helps.
