Will old 2.4 LINK radio connect with new TQi LINK receiver?

Let's say I buy a new Summit ('cause I really want one), and it comes with the TQi transmitter and receiver, and let's also say that I hate the new TQi (purely an esthetic objection...). Would I be able to buy an old TQ LINK 2.4 HO transmitter and link it with the new receiver? Or will I have to buy both an older transmitter and older receiver?

As far as I know, and as far as I've read, yes, it will work...
