Bad ESC out of the box, any other parts to watch out for?

just bought my new awesome Ken Block VXL today and im getting the beeping noise when i try to accelerate but im not gonna be this guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cilI...eature=related)

I know stuff happens, I know im gonna call them tomorrow and they will replace it. No Biggie

But i was curious if there are any other parts I should keep an eye on

Traxxas has a strict language policy. A word filter operates to change inappropriate words to *s. When you see these in your post, you MUST edit them out.

not in low voltage (lipo mode) is it? I think mine did this when I first pulled it out of box

same. Try turning low voltage detection off, Shows you how to do it in the manual.

does it with LVD on and off with either a nimh or lipo battery.

will be calling them after i call the shop i got it from
(want to see if the shop will exchange it because i dont really want to wait for shipping and all that stuff)

went down to my LHS (Sheldons Hobbies, San Jose, CA) and swapped out the ESC - Still Getting the beeping upon acceleration

Swapped out the motor - still beeping

after replacing the motor noticed the gear was touching the motor holding plate and not turning, fixed that, and now it runs perfect.

Guessing it was too much tension between the gears

P.S. I did all my own warranty work, the guy just handed me the parts.

Time to go drift now.
