Two choices of servos for my Slash 4x4

I have a Hitec 645MG metal geared servo, and a Hitec 7955TG titanium gear servo. I'm trying to decide which one I will use on my Slash 4x4. I know the 7955TG is overkill, but it has a much quicker transit time than my 645MG. I like quick steering. What can I say? My other concern is will I need an external BEC with the 7955? I will be using a Mamba Monster ESC by the way. Thanks.

if your running fans on the motor and esc there is a good chance you'll need a BEC. i needed one with my spektrum s6030 on my mmp 3800 w/ a couple fans

Well, I'm sure that's a sure fire way to find out Mamba2200! Haha. Something tells me to wait until I upgrade the servo saver and bellcrank before I bolt in the steering disposal.

Nope, just the built-in fan on the esc. I have the 7955 in a Caster 1/8 buggy, and it did brown out on me a few times on 4s with the Mamba Monster. I had no motor fans though. I had the buggy geared for speed, so it was pulling massive current. Not sure how the Slash 4x4 will do, but I guess I'll get a BEC when I do the upgrade just to be safe. I know the weight and the gearing of the vehicle reflects the amount of total current drain to the Rx. So, I will have to do some experimenting. Thanks again.

I'm running the 7955 on the mmm 2650 with two fans.
Haven't had any issues with excess draw or glitching

That's some supportive evidence. Thanks magfli.
