    Power loss/no reverse

When I am climbing up a curb or something, I can hear the motor working but the tires are not spinning. I have lost power in my drive line somewhere, but only when it is under stress, like climbing up a curb. It will run fine if I am just driving on the street. I cannot figure out where there is a poweer loss. Can somebody please help.
I also do not have reverse, so any suggestions?

Double check your ESC to make sure you are not in Race Mode.

Your differentials are supposed to be filled with fluid and they are located in your bulkheads...
Your a arms are attached to the bulkheads...
Your wheels are attached to your wheels...
Your wheels are what is on the ground.

If you look by your Rx box you will see a metal shaft with a lock nut and spring.
This mechanism is putting pressure on your slipper clutch.
If this is too loose, it will slip when under stress.

If i tighten my slipper I think I will start breaking drive shafts. Would you recomend getting the fans for the ecs and the motor?

How do you have it set now?
It should only be about a 1/4 turn from tight.

I set mine by feel... but I have strong fingers.
My method does not work for everyone, but here is how I do it:
I tighten it little by little once it is snug, making it slip with my fingers.
Once I cannot make it slip, I feel that is the point to back it off 1/2 the amount I just tightened it up.

It is hard to say if you have the slipper where it needs to be...
When is the last time you pulled it apart to check the wear??

Due to forum rules, I cannot say where I got my LiPo from.

It doesn't take much to see if it is wore... if the pad is flush with the three "teeth" on the backside of the spur it is time to change it out.

Here is my entire set up:

    6 2200mah 2S 20C *****'s.
1 Parallel harness with XT60's for the battery side and TRX for the ESC side.
    1 XT60 ParaBoard
    1 iCharger 206B (20amp charger)
    1 Home made 24v 75a power supply

I get around 1 hour run times with a near stock MERV running 23/50 gearing at ~30 mph with very few concerns about heat issues. I can safely charge all of my batteries in about an hour; this means I charge for 1 hour and play for 3... unless I charge while I play, then playtime is endless!
I have around $175 total in charging system listed above.

Reading this thread is like watching a tennis match!
Jimmie, Traxxas should be paying you!
To rio, if your going lipo you may want to look into SPC lipos!

    A cheap, decent charger: Thunder AC6 ~$50
I consider a temp gun and a cell checker to be required RC equipment when running LiPo.
(at least for the cell checker)
