    Wheel alignment - DIY Tools?

I'm doing some rebuilds on all my cars, also my ERBE and by that I need to set up the wheel hubs correct again. I Know how to do it, I just wonder if there are any DIY guides for making some tools to measure
and get the correct toe in, camber and so on? I remember seeing someone making some discs to put on the wheel hubs and some tool to measure the degrees.

Any got som information to how this work, how I can make them and how I use them?

With a ruler and a protractor and a long straight edge you can set up toe and camber pretty well. If you have a look at the Hudy set up boards, you can make your own set up board. Otherwise I'm pretty sure the lengths that the links should be are listed in the manual or product pages on this site.

If I remember correctly the RPM Camber guage is fairly cheap.

Camber can be done with a protractor. If you do a quick youtube search there are a couple of good guides.

i use squers like for kabobs. they are cheap. dollor store. tape them to your wheels so they stick way out and you can see how you toe is. or you can tape them so they stick straight up to check camber. quick and easy. i have pics if you dont understand

I did something similar to raqumup…….except I went to my local hardware store and picked up a couple paint stirring sticks. I take off my 17mm hubs because I drilled a ~1/4” hole in the center of the sticks. Then I attach them to the axel and use a standard hub nut to tighten it down.

I do this on both front tires. The stick will stick out past the front of the truck 8 to 10” and you can easily see the toe.

I’ve gone a far as to make a layout board with marks on it if I really want to get precise with it.

    Just more food for thought.

thats alot of work, but it all depends on why you need your alingment to be correct for, if you are racing for money then you want it to be as RIGHT as you can get it, just bashing, some sticks, tape and your eyes i think would be just fine. JMO
