Protrac arms for a quick, mod free extension or jato arms if you want a project that involves a bit of thinking and innovation.

Im pretty sure the FLM Extended arms are actually wider than even the protrac arms (since they sell an "extended" arm for the rear of a rustler... it must be).

Im not sure how the fronts work out if you'd need to use front offset wheels or what the story is. But if you fit the rear arms on the rear AND front my guess is you'd have one really wide truck.

But what dreaded said is totally true... the protrac is wider and super easy to install. well worth it.

He asked for the widest, not the easiest. And that would be a Jato wide-mod-- which is at least 2" wider than ProTrac, wider if you use front rims all around (or upsize to Stablemaxx rims.)

So your saying we shouldn't suggest both the widest (dreadded said Jato) and the widest that fit correctly (FLM) and the easiest (protrac) just to help a new user with some options? Just say "jato" and end the thread... That wouldn't be very helpful IMO. Sometimes you can give a bit more information and be even more helpful. Maybe even answer the next question someone might have asked even before they ask it.

Stampede? I don't know, my friend has rear Stampede arms on his Rustler and it is a little larger than the Rustler ones. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Maybe you should go back and read the OP's post. I didn't detect any subtext or nuance to it, merely "what are the widest a arm i can put on a 2 wd slash rear and front" and the answer to that is Jato. If you want to wax snarky about it, it might be better if you had something to be snarky about.

Some of us like to go the distance. We like to add a bit of info to fill in the full picture on what can be done. Yes jato mod gives the widest track at the end of the day. But depending on your experience level, some may. Find themselves over their head and without the knowhow to complete that job with a tight, smooth suspension in the end so I would certainly offer alternative mods just so other readers and original poster ill have options. I wouldn't want to feel cornholed into a mod then find out I had options.

Stampede and rustler arms are EXACTLY the same... no differences what so ever.

And what dreaded said is exactly what this forum is for. Helping people find the BEST option... when a person asks "what are the widest arms I can put on a slash" they have left out one very important piece of information. Do you want them to be a direct fit or do you want to mod things to fit. Without that info there is NO way you can be sure what the OP was asking... and therefor there is NO WAY to know if the simple and less than adequate answer of "jato arms" would be what the OP was asking for. So in our usually helpful fashion dreaded and I went above and beyond and gave the OP all the info they would need to make an informed decision.

Sorry doc, my answer wasnt snarky, it was pointed... for a reason.
