    Problems with XO-1 ESC

Hi guys, I was riding with the car for almost 10 minutes and the car stopped. I thought that was the LIPOs but when I try to turn again, no sound turn on. Do you guys have any idea what could happen, maybe the EESC died after 10 minutes play? It was my first ride with the car... I'm very sad with this

Doesn't sound good to me. Double check the connectors and battery wiring.

Very strange... I tried do clean that ESC area, changed the LIPOs and made some measures with multimeter. I couldn't see any V going to ESC. If there is a problem with wires maybe should be a easy thing to fix. I'll see with my other ESC to measure if there is the same result. Do you guys know if there are any way to troubleshoot it?

I would check your esc switch. They go bad sometimes.

My positive from the esc was barely soldered on the cap bank post and needed to be soldered again. Half of the wire end was not even tinned.

Guys, thanks for the suggestion. The ESC is glued at chassi, I'm afraid to take off there and loose the guarantee. The bad thing on this, I'm from Brazil and maybe I'll have some problems to have the right support from Traxxas or the store I bought it.

When this problems occurs, there is another test I could do to sure if the ESC died or the components are bad soldered?

Call Traxxas because most things that you can do to trouble shoot would void the warranty.
A lot of times its the switch that goes bad. I usually cut the wires and solder them together. Thing with that is always having to disconnect the battery every time you're not in use.

Ditto on the switch. Good news is ditching the switch and soldering the wires does not void the warranty. According to CC, only modifying anything on the ESC's PCB will void it.

On a side note; you should ALWAYS disconnect the batteries when not in use. Even when present and in working order, the only thing that switch does is turn on the ESC. Even when "off", the ESC still draws a little current and will eventually drain your battery down to nothing.

Puffed my first lipo leaving it plugged in like that.

Four screws hold the esc down. Two from the top and two from the bottom. To un-glue the esc, take a lighter or a small torch and heat the chassis from the underside just enough for the glue on the foam pad to get warm and starts to give a little. I got my foam pad off in one piece.
