REVO 5309 Model to the New Slayer conversion

I have a Revo 5309 Model, could be as simple as putting the new Slayer Pro wheels, tires and body on it to make it just like the new Slayer or is there more to it and will it look goofy?

Thanks in advance for all the relpies and help/suggestions.

Just doing those changes would result in a wider truck than a Slayer. You'll need to change out the arms and the driveshafts too. In addition, the final drive gear inside the transmission is different in the Revo to accomodate the larger tires the truck has.

Does anybody have an idea of how much wider it would be than a stock Slayer?

It's only a few mm's but does make a difference. It's longer and wider than my Slash, but not by a whole lot. I'm sure if you go to the vehicle protion of the Traxxas site it will have the dimensions.

I bet it would look pretty sweet with sand paddles and a roll cage like this....

The chassis is a Revo, but you may be referring to the rollcage which was custom made by the poster, along with the exhaust and a few other parts. It is a very nice truck!
