Does plasti-dip not void any and all warranty?

I think plasi-dip is the way to go.

You can get them for a $135 at dollar hobbyz. Also not everyone still has warranty left on their esc.
It also can be cleaned off if you have to send it in. Also it is around $70 if you send it in for repair.
$400 is a bit of misinformation.

well either way you waterproof it it will void the warranty because once you split the case its over from that point on my mmm has been plasti-dipped for over a year and has been submerged more than 100 times and still works just as good as a mmm with a warranty just my 2 cents

Just posting this from another thread.
Sorry that link isn't working but it is from my build thread. There is a tech that posts in it from castle and he said to send the esc in that they may warranty it even though it has been dipped.
If you are worried about the warranty I wouldn't dip it. For me I will take the chance because snow bashing is a blast.

Did that info come from castle? Because if that is the case you can't even change the fan without voiding the warranty.

i think corrosive x does not void the warranty (call them to be sure) and its clamed waterproofing. i called tekin and it does not void there warranty on the rx8 but anyway you can get a mamba monster on ebay for around 140 or the combo for 290
you should also check out outerwears cover.
corrosive x + outerwears cover seems to be the best in warranty waterproofing

It tells you right on there website how to open the case if you have a busted one so thats not fair show us how to do it but then void the warranty!

Actually i heard different. Opening the case wont void the warranty. Only modification to the board (soldering, coating it, etc)

Just looked it up and opening the case and changing the fan won't void the warranty.

When I bash with my buddy he has a erevo and runs with no water proofing on his mamba monster. He hasn't had any issues with his yet.

You would have to send you esc to them! maybe if they guaranteed it for 100% water damage but the video says on %90 water damage

100% garantee means they are liable and if the waterproofing fails, they have to buy you a new whatever it is they waterproofed. 90% means they're confident and don't like lawsuits haha.

I cant beleive i havent done this yet. I feel it coming soon

The plasti-dip seems like the most practical approach since the picture SkidMan posted shows how well it covers. I dont see any blobs or air pockets. It seems to cover just as well as any pcb corformal coating could.

When you first apply the plasti dip it looks a little sketchy but once it dries it looks good. You can also get different colors.

My temps remain the same. You don't want to get it on the heat sink. If you do experience higher temps it can be removed. Not the easiest stuff to remove but it does come off.
