    My slash 4x4

I just got my slash around the 5th of January....I was runing a redcat caldera sc10e which was my first car and i did not want to spend alot of money in case i did not like the hobby i would not be out much. Raced my first race and loved it!! So i decided to get a slash 4x4 since it is so much easier to get more parts! But I cant stop buying parts for my slash! Here are a few pics of what i have done. thanks for looking

    looks cool!

good luck with the aluminum control arms... I've always been a little sketchy about those myself, but I guess it depends on your driving style and what you plan on doing with the truck. me personally, I show the throttle trigger no mercy and beat the crap out of mine, lol, so I KNOW I'm going to bend or break anything I put on it, and RPM's aren't too badly priced to begin with
    fix, run, break, repeat

I see you have aluminum castor block from GH, dont know if its a comon problem, but I brake one of them the other day, i was quite surprise as didnot do any hard bashing or impact at high speed but it was abt -15 outside, maybe aluminum dont like cold wheater...

But its not a slash!! I love my slash! I went with GH parts bc I have heard ppl talking about staying away from Integy parts....I have a race the 11th so i cant wait to try this car out!

    never heard of it!
RPM is definately a good choice for bumpers. sway bars are good too.
be expecting rear driveshafts to break if you run lipos, MIP X-duty CVD's are common among the slash 4x4 world. especially if you race.
    Looks good though!

i wont know how good the tires will be till the 11th when we have a race....I will be racing on clay and they say they are good for clay. they are the proline suburbs. I also have the proline switches they are not to bad. I have 2 sets of the proline beadlock rims and love them! I do like the alum shock towers.

I did get the body off ebay...with being very new to the hobby i was kinda scared to do my own painting....But i think i could do it now after watching some youtube videos. I did pay 100 for it. Kinda high but money is not a issue I just really liked it there is still some 4sale on there but i dont know what they are going for.

Its not a bad price considering the price of the body + airbrushing. Most local guys around me that are good with an air brush would charge around $75-$85 just for the paint job.

I love my Redcat. I actually prefer to drive it over my Slash. It's a 1/8 scale car so I think the extra weight helps with jumps. My Slash on a windy day is useless. Now to be fair I'm still new to the hobby. Got my 1st car for Christmas which was a Monsoon XTR made by Redcat. Shortly afterwards I bought the Aftershock 8E which I will be posting a pic of. Then a week after that I bought the Slash 4. At 1st I hated it. Compared to the Redcat straight out of the box the Slash was a slug. IMO they are not inferior to any other car out there. Parts is the only hassle. Really starting to enjoy my Slash though

Here is a pic of my Aftershock 8E

I seen the aftershock. It can run the duel lipo. Redcat is very hard to find parts.....That was the MAIN reason to get a slash plus parts are so easy to get.
