    Alignment for Summit

guys wanted to check what are the factors that usually cause the alignment to go out of whack?

I've had runs where no issue with alignment for more than 1 hour and others where the it drives in a different direction within 10 minutes. perhaps it happens more when the diffs are locked? or the wheels spin?

has anyone ever threadlocked the adjustment rods so that it doesnt move? will this help?

maybe the plastic parts on the adjusters are stripped?

If you have the diffs locked it will pull pretty hard under acceleration. Mine was pulling real bad one day under acceleration and I noticed I accidently had my front diff locked, unlocked it and it went straight.

what I meant is that the toe in/out "runs" during the run.
when the wheels are pointing to the left the car is not going to drive straight.

I remember someone mentioned that they were having issues with this but cant find the post or thread now.

during the last run during crawling and or full locked diffs I noticed after that the wheels ended up pointing in different directions.

    a few spots to check
pillow ball caps too loose and the knuckels can move around a fair bit
ball ends on steering bellcrank and steering knuckles
as summit crawler said the threads can get loose fitting and allow the links to (self adjust)..LOL under load.
in my case the plastic parts of the ball ends get worn and the plastic being ovaled out, just slips over the ball.creates slop
Also look for the "Dreaded wheel hub slop"could be none of those but its a start
    Mountains cant stop me
    they have tried
