New Axle carriers from RPM???

I've read some posts about rpm axle carriers ninety percent bad reviews, but none recently. Well I go to rpm's website and read this: ""RPM Axle Carriers have been completely redesigned for added durability and crash-survivability. RPM engineers found that the stock pivot ball opening could be reduced in size to help support the pivot ball better, meaning a significantly lower chance of pulling the ball through the hole."" Is this a redesign of traxxas or their original rpm carrier?? If theirs ill chance it cuz i like rpm, but if this is the original and only one they make than THATS BAD ADVERTISING!! Sounds like the complete opposite if what i hear.lol

I'm wondering if RPM will replace the axle carriers with the new version if you get an old version from an online store or LHS... Do they have a different part #?

they still look the same... at any rate, not only did i have issues with the ball pulling through, but the bearing holes turned oval and brought a lot of slop to the vehicle


since going to GPM for a few dollars more, i no longer have any knuckle complaints


don't get me wrong, not trying to bash rpm, but their knuckles jsut aren't any good.....

their a-arms o nthe otehr hand.... are awesome and the only a-arms i will ever use

where can i get those gpm parts online?

Night time running on the golf course, my son ran the truck right into the lip of a sand trap and pulled a ball out of the front
knuckle. I see the little tabs on the knuckle that appear to open it up, but I can't figure it out. I just pushed the ball back in, but I'm sure this isn't the correct way....or is it? Are these supposed to open up? How do you get the larger bearing out?

yea there a pain i used needle nose and small screw driver while pushing ball outward but i mulled the plastic up pretty good but didnt care cuz i had 7033x to replace them with. but yea i just still push my pivotballs back threw when out bashing cuz i now the stock carriers are disposable at five bucks a set.
