I think i figured out how i am going to pant my new body

i have worked for VW as a tech. for 12 years now, and i have decided to make my new body like the harlequin vw. Those of you that are familiar with VW know what i am talking about, but i am not going to do the old one that is yellow, red , green, purple. i am going to do it white, black, and silver like the few in the MKV rabbit commercial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b68Gm5Y6zTA . only thing i was going to do different was paint a carbon fiber hood. what do you think?

You could always do the whole 2 tone or even white with the black square on the hood either way your looking at quite a bit of paint... that aint cheap!

i did the liquid mask the day before painting and i guess i should have done it all in one day because you can see some of the lines are not perfect

Definitely not a bad job. I never tried liquid mask, I may have to give it a shot next time I pull out the paint cans.

I really like that CF look as well. Turned out very nice.

Thanks, the hood did not turn out so well because i did not cut the liner into smaller pieces to make it touch the whole hood, but the back came out not too bad. if you do it, CF that is, take your time and get the drawer liner to make contact as much as you can. also i don't know if i used the correct liquid mask, i used this stuff and once it pulls off it does not stick back on, other brands may work better.
