I have a Blitz ESE but it aint a traxxas. That bugs me. But I really didn't like the current crop of LCG setups for the slash so the Blitz was my only option (or at least the only option I was comfortable with). The second I saw the ANZA LCG kit I knew the Blitz was gone.
I dont race. I only run my SC trucks in a parking lot, on pavement, around cones by myself. But I appreciate a truck that looks nice and handles well. Im also an obsessive upgrader so this thing will have to be done right.
The planned build includes the following:
-ANZA castor blocks and rear carriers (1 degree)
-ANZA hing pin kit
-Full Protrac kit
-STRC Front carriers
-Proline or updated steering setup
-REM front bulk
-Hot racing composite/aluminum trans case (if I can find a way for it to work with the rear bumper mount)
-RPM Front and rear bumpers and gear cover
-MMP/4600 4pole combo
-Proline Raptor body
-Slash 4X4 driveshafts
-Havent decided on a servo or tires yet. I like the stock Blitz tires... so that may be the way I go.
Today I order all the parts from ANZA... $200 total including shipping. Not bad IMO... their prices are certainly much less than you'd expect looking at the parts. I hope they are good quality.
If you do the math on the parts, a set of TRX Castors and rear carriers would have run me $50, an STRC Hinge pin kit would have run me $25 so the chassis at $120 is a good deal. Many other, less engineered LCG chassis run $125 or so and don't look anywhere close to as nice as this one does or come with anywhere near as many cool extra parts (steering posts, carbon top plate, carbon side plates etc etc)
Ill post up some pics as parts come in and I get things rolling. I can't run this truck till spring anyway so it may just sit as a roller for a while.
