Thanks Guys! Many of the parts are compatible with the Tamiya HotShot (they are exactly the same), so that's why they are new... Others were very well cleaned with soap and alcohol... I take many many hours to have them perfect...

Yeah! So happy about that! Thank you so much!

It's not going to be easy to finish this one, but I'll try... I'm still missing some parts that are going to be extremely hard to get...

I'm excited to see this build. I want to see that race prep in your car. It definitely went to a wonderful home. I hate sending out motors you put some much work into(yours was new so nothing was needed lol) and not knowing what someone going to do with it.

BUT, the most important part is you are well on your way. A little here and not so much there will add up eventually.

Nice score! Is the body an actual Traxxas or did you just get a hotshot body?

And, who's a lucky guy? Take a look at another score!

White shocks (two sets, need one more), shock mounts, gears, pins, screws, original MSC with resistors and heatsink (great find!) and many other parts! And, I forgot to mention I also got the driver figure with the body...

If only I could find the front a-arms and decals... That will complete the Wildcat...

SRTracer121, do you have the contact info of the other guy that was restoring the Wildcat on the other forum? I'm wondering if he has a set of used front a-arms...

Well, I found another collector on eBay with over 100 trucks from Traxxas, he was the one that got the Wildcat spare parts last year when I wasn't looking for them, and he told me today he will sell me a new set of a-arms on Friday... Hope he keeps his word... I also asked for a set of white shocks, answer pending on that..

Yes, they are! Check the Traxxas header card on them... But, they are the exactly same tires used on the Tamitya HotShot and they don't say Traxxas on them... If you see a part with a white/blue header card, it's the old style Traxxas header card... They had at least 3 different header cards over the years... But, as far as I know, that white/blue header card was only used on the Wildcat...

    Daniel,

I think I have been in touch with this collector as well. If I remember correctly his Ebay id is blowbird68 or something like that. He also has a blog, not sure if you have been there….

    http://first10yearsoftraxxas.blogspot.com/

I wonder if he is a member on this forum?

Anyways, nice score on the wildcat parts. I need to start another project soon…

Yup, I saw that blog (btw, too heavy imo), but, it's not him and I asked, he's not a member of any forum... He told me he's just a collector and his voice sounded like an old guy, but I could be wrong...

No, not really, but I check eBay at least 10 times each hour every day, unless I'm sleeping or away from a computer, of course... So, I'm usually the first one to get the vintage parts I need... This lot came up on eBay last Sunday and as soon as I saw it I bought it...

The Wildcat is a hard one to get, I've seen 4 or 5 in the past years and they are expensive, same for parts...

It's a 27t motor with I think 5° timing. It might be zero I never checked. It has standup brushes and uses a solid stack armature(like the modifies). Trinity bash Race Prep in a ad back in the day seeing Eriny Proveli pointing at the motor and laughing...what a mistake for Trinity. That only helped Race Prep sales lol.

Nice! I'm new to this kind of brushed motors, I was never into "turns" or "timming" or anything like that, but I like it!

Well, something new for today, a set of brand new front a-arms... The ones that came with the truck were busted...

And, the missing set of white shocks... They are not new, but mint... And, yes they are white, the lamp turns them into yellow...

On Tuesday, I will pick up the box with the other parts and I'll start bulding this puppy...

Today, I woke up at 6:30am, went to our local Customs/Post office and by 10am I got the box with all the parts... I was like a kid in a candy store!!! I also got the Funny Car and the DTS-1 system!!!

So, let's start with some pics...

    #1042 - Damper Oil

    #1022 - Switch Lube

    #1021 - Grease

    #1007 - 5mm Silicon Tube

    #1060 - Nylon Bands

    #1064 - Knuckle Arm Set

    #1051 - Oil Damper Set (x2 - 4 shocks)

    #1069 - Front/Rear Wheels (second generation, I'll explain later)

#1032 - AN Gear Box Joint

    #1034 - AP Drive Shaft

    #1033 - AO Wheel Axle

    #1028 - Right Bevel Gear

    #1029 - Left Belver Gear

    #1030 - Small Bevel Gears

    #1045 - Ball Connector Set

    #1048 - Arm Pivot Set

    #1044 - Shoulder Screw Pin

    #1046 - Ball Set

    #1008 - Springs

    #1081 - Washers

    #1077 - Aluminum Plates

#1040 - BA Speed Control Set - DQ Resistor/Heat Sink

#1055 - Servo Box Set (lower and upper chassis)

    #1052 - Front Tires

    #1053 - Rear Tires

And, what I mentioned before about the 1st and 2nd generation of front/rear wheels...

The 1st gen wheels have wheel hubs (on the right and top) and they have 3 additional holes for the wheel hub... The 2nd gen wheels don't, they are like the rear ones on the Bandit...

Hope you like it, and I'll upload more pictures soon...

Looks like there were a few versions of the Wildcat, for example, with yellow wheels or single shocks...

And, yes, you're right, that's for a single shock setup, same as in the front, take a look at this one:

You're right, it's for a single shock setup... Looks like there was a version with yellow shocks that came that way, but I've never seen one... You know, sometimes what is pictured on the box not always is what is in the box...

Thanks! The motor looks awesome there! Thank you for it, and thank you for your PM the other day... About that, I'm happy to say that on Monday this new, clear, untrimmed and unpainted body with decals, is coming home from Germany for around $70 shipped...
