Hi guy's! newer member with some 1/16 summit questions!

Alright, So i have 2 of the 1/16 family line. A merv that became a slash sorta... And a Summit, I picked them both up used in 2 seperate transactions.

The merv needed a Ton of work. I recieved it with a Broken rear a arm and all joints worn out!

The summit is in much much better condition. I am truly enjoying it. Altho it doesnt go in snow as well as i thought it would.
My questions are Trans flip guys? are you happy with it?
    Speed?
    Torque?
I am planning on almost locking my rear differential on it and having a semi open front. Waiting on my shims to get in
Also What gearing do you guys recommend?
Lastly. Aluminum carriers? or plastic? i see arguments for the rpm? some say good some say not from my lurking. I don't like buying same parts over again. And i really need new pivot ball mounts especially on summit! Thanks guys Also cheap steering servo recommendation's or go back with 2080's?

Transmission flip and speed do not mix well. The gearing is way low... creating massive amounts of torque.

In my opinion, go alloy for your knuckles. GPM or HR seem to be the best.

If you want to keep replacing servos, keep getting stock ones.
If you want to buy replacements once, get a ******* 390. I have in each of mine and love it.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

If you are building up a straight "crawler" it is not a bad idea.
If you want it to go fast, flipping is hindering you more than helping you.

15 should not be a problem.

I swapped it over and tons of torque as jimmy said, crazy wheelies have about 4 inches of snow so cant really test top speed

I am getting probably 10 mph maybe a lil more it will wheelie with ease.
